that's a very bold line on the door. Would love to see Honda gain some aggression in their design

Why would you even bring up Kia in a Honda thread other than to troll? What the hell?

Anyway, teaser looks good, but then again Honda's teaser for the new gen Civic looked good too... Hopefully this becomes a new model for Honda as a replacement for the Crosstour, they need it.

Back in the 1980s, though it was not a true SUV (or even a Cute-Ute). Honda had a similiar concept with the AWD Civic Wagon. It was similiar to (but much better then) the not-lamented Nissan Axxess. They could do a simliar one today if they wanted to.

Well, if we don't see it here, we'll probably see it at some of the major shows coming up, anyway.

Agreed. There are some places in the country (SoCal and my own D.C. area are probably the two prime examples) where virtually anything on four wheels will sell.

The Element and CR-V were already based on the Civic so why do we need another Civic CUV? Do we really need another compact SUV/CUV from Honda?

If it is a Crosstour replacement, I don’t think it would be a small CUV, since the Crosstour is Accord (midsize) –based. I do agree, though, that Honda needs a midsize-CUV (Crosstour replacement) more than they need another small/compact-CUV.

Perhaps this will be the new Fit (subcompact) CUV. Would it be Honda’s Juke then?

The previous Gen Rav4 has been Camry based with the V6 and such, I believe. In fact, it may be one of those rare independent chassis that doesn't share its underpinnings with another model...

Perhaps Toyota needs to revive the Matrix. The new Rav4 is pretty big as is, and a smaller CUV like a Matrix would take a bite of this market. Subaru just did this (can't remember the model, but they basically raised an Impreza). A new Toyota CUV will surely derive from the Corolla, which should be redesigned for 2015.
