To everyone here who's saying how amazing the Genesis is, how do you feel about Hyundai's "amazing" revised fuel economy estimates, which changed due to the EPA ruling from an ongoing investigation that Hyundai's estimates were inaccurate?

I find the CURRENT Genesis way more appealing than the new Acura RLX that just debuted. This new one in spy photos looks good. Since the Genesis is a proper RWD luxury car and doesn't share platforms with a Sonata it has good proportions.
The Genesis sedan never was some huge seller and there was no mass exodus from Tier 1 brands but it has nicely carved a good niche for it. Though without knowing sales (Since Hyundai will not release them they are bunched with the coupe) exactly I could be wrong. The Genesis while as sporty as a Camry oddly never got bashed on the internet like Lexus and others. That said the R-spec while not setting hearts on fire is a very nice package on paper and looks nice.
The next Equus will also be much improved and their strategy to me is a sound one in offering everything from 10-60k cars. I think Honda should just drop Acura and do the same thing at this point.

Man, it looks even longer and bigger than the current Genesis, more like the Eqqus' proportions. Should be a great car! Excited to see it, and did anyone else notice all of the current gen Genesis around the prototype?

Why do I feel like Hyundai is going after BMW design-wise? Before it was Mercedes-Benz/Lexus(little bit of Infiniti). Now it's either BMW or a tidbit of Audi(Schreyer isn't at Hyundai). The executive who reviewed a non-engineered design prototype of it in February seemed as if he was obsessive about comparing it to the F10 5er and pre-facelift F01 7er, saying that the Genesis looked "better" than them.
All I can say is good luck to them, as I'm already seeing pieces that resemble some of the upcoming BMW range and some of them were public before the Genesis DH design freeze last year. It's so obvious who's the benchmark this time. Even some of the yet to be unveiled models look a tad similar, so Hyundai better watch out when accused of copying.

Just show released pics. It's gonna look like 4 other cars and I don't understand Internet obsession with showing cars in garbage bags where you can't make anything out.
Will it get advertised MPG and performance this time?

Just for the record, the Genesis was not involved with the mpg debacle. And Edmunds dynoed a Genesis R-spec though and it proved slightly gun shy.

I'm very curious to hear your humble opinion on why the 2014 Hyundai Genesis sedan looks so blatantly like a BMW. Even with the camo, one can visibly see blatant BMW styling cues. Is Hyundai not capable of original design?
