I8ABMR'S 2012 SEMA experience. What a show !!!!
Hey guys ! I had a very special opportunity to check out the SEMA show this year thanks to a very cool member of CL who was generous enough to give me a peak. I had an amazing time at the show. The cars are beautiful, and the industry is very much alive. The entire time I was walking through the halls of the show I was in awe at the size of the show. Every single aftermarket auto company was represented and everyone brought their best and most impressive. The most common cars and trends this year at SEMA were :
1. The Scion FRS
2. Ferrari 458 Italia ( none of them looked as good as the one at the VOSSEN booth) They had a lowered 458
3. wraps, wraps, and wraps. I dont car wether its a G37 or a 500k Rolls Royce. They had them all wrapped .
4. Lamborghini Aventador
Out of the hundreds of booths I looked at I had to say that the booth I enjoyed the most was stopping at the VOSSEN booth. I had the opportunity to meet Mike ( 1SICKLEX ), Leo ( who helped me with my wheels), and even Jav ( the owner ). VOSSEN had the best looking wheels at the show. There was nothing even close to the Precision Series wheels in terms of design , finish, and style. They are on a roll at VOSSEN.
The crew at Giovanna brought a very nice group of cars and models but didnt really have any wheels to look at outside the catalog. The Forgiatto guys brought a group of Aventadors but they had some ugly wheels fitted ( they usually have some pretty funky designs.
Lexus was represented . They brought a modified 2013 LS460 and a LFA nurburgring edition . They also had a WALD GS350 and a standard LFA.
If you ever get a chance to see the show in person I would strongly recommend it. Its one thing to see the pics online as opposed to seeing the cars up close and feeling the buzz in the room. I had a great time talking to so many people who are obsessed with cars as we are. For me its rare to come across a person with the same zeal .

wraps wraps and more wraps, its just better and cheaper and less changing as saying painting you car. Those white wraps look awesome, I am thinking about either wrapping my 460 or just getting the clearcoat redone. great pics!
