^^^ so it's too soft for you?

Lead Lap
Let's just say if I was going for a low-slung, mid-engine "every day" sports car I'd still get an R8. The NSX was too soft and at no point felt intoxicating to me. The exhaust wasn't anything special and the powertrain really needed to be in the right mode to be fun. Meh. I even felt like the 991.2 with its too-tall gearing was more fun to be honest.

Test drives of the NSX GT3 race version are getting really good reviews. Hopefully they are in the process of building and releasing a lighter RWD non hybrid hardcore version soon.

Car was way overpriced and no longer pursued the target market of the current NSX owner that want a manual and a more analog driving experience.
Acura should make a RWD manual version without the batteries and price it under $100k.
BTW the interior is not special enough for $150k + car.
I would take 911, MB GTS, or R8 all day over this.

Noone should be surprised by this.

It is the best interior in it's class in my opinion. R8 can match it for perceived quality but I'm not a fan of too much racing like cockpit but overall it's clean and exciting. AMG GT is basically a poorer version of NSX cockpit in everyway possible from ergonomics to kitsch details that only German can design. McLaren is a joke that thing has no interior, Huracan is a disaster but quirky if you like it that way and Ferrari is like whatever. NSX has the best daily drive cockpit and it's prettier than 991.2
The NSX interior quality and tech is way behind R8, Huracan and especially MB GT.
I have not been in the new 720S so i cant comment. These are supercars not a Camry, most buyers want to a cockpit feel but also to be useable, this is where the 911 shines and also the new 720S.
Besides all that the customization is very Limited on the NSX which the others have in spades especially 911.

Or you can buy a Corvette Gran Sport for about $75,000 with all the performance options, carbon cermaic brakes, etc 460hp, manual transmission, great looking car. Or for a measly $5-6k you can step up to a no option Z06 Corvette with 650hp, about $81,000. Even with some nice options its a good bit less than 100k. IMO both of those Corvettes are a much more rewarding driving experience with the clutch pedal and RWD chassis. Its kind of crazy how now days the traction control is so advanced, you can't over-drive the car unless you are stupid and shut it off or have a death wish. AWD may have a slight advantage, but IMO the new NSX plays second fiddle to cars like the Corvette Z06, Audi R8, various Porsche 911's, hell even a 6 year old used Lambo Adventador is way more exciting than this new NSX.
EDIT: Also notice the value of the LFA vs a new NSX. I know that value number is constrained by supply(500 LFA's), but still its kind of a good indication of how Toyota's super car 5 years later is commanding above MSRP, while Honda's super car, less than 1 year after launch is discounted, 10, 20, 30k below MSRP.

I think the NSX is the best looking mid engined exotic out now, not as in your face and noticeable as a Hurracan but when I saw it, it looked better then the 488 and 458, way better then the new conservative R8, and better then the Mclaren 570. The AMG GT and Corvette are front engined and just don't have that exotic look like the NSX though they are nice.
The interior in the NSX is not great but it does look better in person then in pics, the alcantara and brown/tan/red leather look really nice and it is very comfortable.
They were not even able to sell all the LFA's to buyers with only 500 made and some were turning up on web sites with discounts not too long after release but any rare expensive car is going to command a premium to collectors especially one that is not being made anymore. The NSX is still being made and will continue to be made in the thousands. Hopefully they offer more versions of it as I think many potential buyers want a lighter weight edgier version without the hybrid system.

It's still too expensive given its performance (or lack thereof) and brand.
Now I know that the exterior is eye catching but I wouldn't call it a great looking car. A modern interpretation of the original NSX would have been the right direction to go, this just looks characterless/generic.
Mid-level 911 variants, high trim F types and Corvettes, the R8, AMG GT, GTR, etc. are all far better choices.
