Car looks great. Those wheels are awful, I hope they don't ruin the car by releasing it with bad wheels.

Yep, look like some $80 a pop ricer wheels from Discount Tire. A nice set of BBS forged wheels would do wonders for the look of the car.

That is not the only wheel option

I wouldn't be surprised to see those as an extra cost option due to the CF inserts (I agree they look like sheet)

Most of the pics from the NSX summer road trip are with a car wearing a nice wheel that somewhat resembles the BBS Pole Position wheel

Of course, who are we kidding. This is going to be a $180k+ car, so you can afford to throw some nice custom wheels on it.

Acura NSX reportedly delayed until next spring

Will it still be relevant by then?

If you were drooling over the NSXs that Acura introduced at The Quail earlier today, you'd better prepare for a serious case of cotton mouth as the model has reportedly been delayed until next spring.

While the car was slated to go into production this fall, Acura has reportedly confirmed the first cars won't roll of the line until the spring of 2016 as 2017 model.

Automobile Magazine says Acura is blaming the delay on the company's.... (blah blah blah, snipped)
http://www.automobilemag.com/feature...l-spring-2016/

lol they got more excuses than a dead beat trying to avoid paying child support.

Back when the car was shown at the Quail, there was mention on the dealer's meeting in Chicago in October, where more info would become available.

I checked the convention center schedule and the meeting will be October 27-28 so that should be our hard target for learning something meaningful (specs and ordering process).

NSXPO finished up today. They brought an NSX and took a few luckies for rides on the track. Apparently the Acura lords of no transparency made these folks agree to embargo any impressions for a couple of weeks. Maybe some folks will burst and share some intel.

Acura set up a poll and there are few few tidbits to consider. Acura wanted to know if you are interested in
* a vert (hard retracting, manual targa or soft top)
* a lower power (probably no hybrid) RWD only version
* a type R track version

They also provided an opportunity to ***** at their cluster f release. I pointed to the transparency issues regarding the specs and the order process.

They also provided an opportunity to ask for something they did not bring up. I asked for full customization that would include things like Honda badging and elimination on the exterior chrome.

I doubt we will hear much in the next two weeks but we should know a lot more after that.

Plus you have to believe they will have a few cars buzzing around the fun places in our great city.

We just got back from NSXPO 2015 and got a chance to sit and feel the new car, amazing ride and a few lucky owners got a chance to take a lap around the track with Peter Cunningham!

I have tons of photos but just wanted to leave a few here now. When we pick up the new NSX 2.0 we'll report back on how it actually drives on a day to day basis.

Are you allowed to tell your impressions or did they put an embargo?

I heard a video of the car revving and it was beyond pathetic. I have such big hopes for this new NSX. With cars like the LFA I am hoping that they dont make it sound like the one I heard

hehe, maybe some will argue lfa is more than double the price so it's ok for nsx to sound half as good

honestly though, it's a v6, i wouldn't expect that much. look at mine, no one could hear my car until i changed my exhaust

Even the upcoming Ford GT with it's V6 doesn't sound all that exciting, but the engineering from the lightweight body and chassis should make it a very rewarding supercar experience. Similar to the NSX I think it and the GT will be more about the drive than sheer power
