they are so ashamed of their own acura brand they put a honda badge on it, along with a steering wheel straight from accord.

There is no such thing as an Acura even in Japan.
As of now, I think the Acura brand is used only in North America, Mexico, China, Hong Kong and Russia ......

So much text and not the info I am looking for.

Would it kill the ZDX team to spill the HP details for the NSX drivetrain?

Or how about stuff like the option for some Krell audio?

And with that stiff floor, the plan regarding a targa and a full vert.

Correct. Acura was going to expand into the Japanese market in 2008, but economic problems at the time prevented that. That also would have required the added complexity of right-hand drive versions, which weren't done on any Acura-branded vehicles.

They aren't ashamed of anything with the old or new NSX.

Technology and engineering sound really exciting, this car is going to be a huge performer and will be the most advanced exotic on the road. Rumors are combined hp will be in the 600hp to 600+hp range with a Type R even higher.

I just hope with all that technology it is reliable, not too heavy, and not too overly complicated to take away from the driving experience.

UDel

My razzing is very tongue in cheek.

I am very happy with the offering and am first in line for one a pt a Chicagoland dealer.

I just wish they got some good marketing folks (tell us what we care about then fill in with the wide ranging innovation.

I believe all the heat management gear will support reliability

I have always argued since first seeing the LFA prototype on the track, the reason it is the most reliable super car on earth is the major effort made to manage heat. If you stand behind an idling LFAcyou will be shocked to experience how much heat is being pulled out of the car , exiting the rear.

The Acura NSX will knock everyone's socks off.. If it ever arrives I thought the LFA had a crazy long gestation but the amount of teasing and PR from Honda is just ridiculous. Is it so hard to give out firm numbers and prices?

certainly is ridiculous, but they've changed drivetrains (and engine orientation!) completely, so basically it was a do over...

yes when things are still changing and you want to be closer to launch date and to get surprise on competition.

Don't get your hopes up... it's probably going to be riding on a civic chassis powered by an accord v6 with a different turbo, thence the reason why they don't want to "reveal anything" if I were them I'd be ashamed to reveal it as well.

I can't believe this many people are still waiting with excitement for this thing. You remember almost a decade back when they "sold" the first new nsx to jay leno? They even made a stupid super bowl commercial about it? I hope leno got his deposit back....

Sounds like you have some deep personal issues with Honda/Acura. You are not contributing anything remotely constructive with these strange angry comments to the subject. Why do you keep making negative comments and making things up? They never sold the new NSX to Leno, it was still in early stages in development, the commercial was not 10 years ago, it was in 2012 or 3 years ago and the NSX so far is on schedule to be released when they promised which is 2015. It has been confirmed it will ride on its own platform, one of the most advanced platforms to be released on a exotic and it will have its own unique engine/transmission not shared with any Honda's or Acura's. They are not "ashamed" of anything.
