Default What color interior should I buy

I have decided to purchase a ES300H next week. I am a first time Lexus owner. I live in Arizona and it is terrbily hot!! I know that I want to get a silver loning metallic exterior. I thought I would get the light gray leather interior but some people insist that there will be too much gray. Everyone )oncluding the salesman ) says to get black leather seats. I have decided to have ceramic window tinting installed on it (I will get as dark as the law allows on it). what are your guy's thoughts on black leather vs the light gray leather?
Thanks!!!

I've always preferred black interiors just because it's easier to keep clean.

That said, get black. Turn up your A/C before entering the car...

black all the way

edit: after looking at your location i noticed you are in AZ, where its extremely hot. ceramic tints will greatly help with that. i was looking for my car for almost a year and came by a lot of brown interior. i was so impatient i almost settled for some of the cars. at the end of the day im glad i waited for a Sport Design Black interior with blackwood

im running silver with black interior with tints and it looks extremely dark with tints (because of black interior).

may wanna keep this in mind

I vote for black too...it'll be easier for resale.

However, its your car; you should pick the light grey just because you like it.

black. if it's really hot, doesn't matter if it's black or white it's still going to be some hot leather. count on the a/c and ventilated seats

with silver you only have two options:

-light grey (if there's enough wood trim to break up the greyness)

-black

Given that you're in AZ, either way you're screwed. Tint the windows nice and dark, and you won't have a problem.

Personally, I'd get the silver w/ black roof and black interior.

i don't care for black leather - it shows every speck of everything, plus, you're right, in arizona it's going to be hot as hades, i don't care what tint you've got. my suv has cream colored leather and it makes a HUGE difference in how comfortable it is even if it's sat out in the (FL) sun all day.

I have light gray on my GS and love it. I replaced the floor mats with black OEM floor mats to break up the color a little.

I think the light grey looks good, but the Lexus black interior ages better.

I'd still want black leather interior even if I lived near the equator.

It appears only the seats in the new ES are gray. the carpet, doors, and dash are all black. It looks awesome!

i preffer black, but this looks good plus if it is that hot, it is no brainer... tint wont help THAT much if you have black leather seats.

ALL true.....

if you have to park in the sun (with no car cover) black seats will be really hot...tint or not...

of course if its 118 degrees F ANY interior will be hot, but black will be even hotter.
