Tesla smackdown on the Bimmer to 60. But looks like the M5 would take it in the 1/4 mile. It was charging hard by the end of the marker. Full torque at 0 mph is pretty sweet...

you're probably right for a fully deck out one, according to the Tesla website, you can get a base model for about $50K and up to a $97K fully loaded one called the "Signature performance model" .. Some where in the middle most will buy the $60-$70K Range models. http://www.teslamotors.com/models/options

How does the Tesla not have any wheel spin? That's the most amazing part IMO.

cheaper ones dont have same performance or range... you need to spend at least 90k.

The torque of the motor is not enough for wheel spin.
The cars with ICE can spin wheels because the engine can "store" torque in their crankshafts. This torque is effectively multiplied by the transmission while the clutch/torque converter engages.
