My various opinions;

100. Pontiac Solstice - I think the coupe looks great, the Saturn Sky is even better, and GXP/Red Line versions are quick enough. They have their following and I wouldn't mind owning one.

97. Daewoo Nubria - Every car they brought here was just awful and ugly. I felt safer in a Kia Rio and that thing was a tin can with wheels. I'm actually curious why it didn't make this list.

95. 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP - Have one thing going for them, many a mid engine fan like this FWD LS for a swap.

94. 1996 Ariel Atom - It's terrible as a "car". It's amazing as the track tool it was meant to be. Kinda BS that it is on this list as many a car fits this description.

93. 1989 Vector W8 - As an old wedge concept car lover this thing is great looking to me. I'm sure it's just as terrible as described.

88. 1993 Ford Aspire - The car my best friend's dad handed down to him in high school. We drove it everywhere, good gas mileage, and enough room for four of us (in the coupe version too). So I have good memories of it. We called it the AssFire and almost rebadged it as such.

87. 1989 Geo Metro - Like the Aspire, it serves its purpose. A cousin had one of these. Fixable with a screwdriver and hammer most days. Over 400k on it when it got totaled by a drunk driver (while parked).

83. 1978 Volvo 262C - I actually LOVE the look of this car, but I love old blocky cars, wagons, old volvos etc. First (and only) time I've ever seen one of these in person was in the parking lot of the vehicle registration office. I fell in love and took many pictures with my old flip phone. I WILL have one of these one day. The author has no style.

78. 1974 Mazda Rotary Pickup - Many a person loves rotaries. Bad as a truck, great as an old school ride.

77. 1999 Toyota Echo - Tercel's last forever, I see several every week. I haven't seen an Echo in ages. It was terrible when a friend of mine had one, but it did have a good enough crash rating to keep her alive when a drunk driver ventured across the line and hit her head on while she was in it.

76. 1982 Chevrolet Cavalier - If this is the same gen as my cousin's grandmother's car (on the other side, not our shared grandmother), which I think it is, it had the heaviest doors I've ever experienced. And I own an SC.

74. 1979 Datsun 280ZX - Not entirely unloved, like most cars it has its dedicated niche fan club.

71. 1980 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Turbo - The wheels looks sweet.

69. 1989 Ford Thunderbird - My mother had one and some people make sleepers out of them. Good source of small superchargers for cheap projects.

66. 2008 Smart Fortwo - My wife wanted one of these, we test drove it. The transmission comment is entirely true. So slow to shift it will give you whiplash.

65. 1985 Subaru XT - SVX predecessor, I of course, want one.

58. 1984 Pontiac Fiero - Is the sole reason there is even a kit car market in the US today. Probably more of these with a V8 swap than the original engine on the road today.

45. 1969 Porsche 914 - IIRC these were used in the Bob Bondurant driving school and would split along the firewall at the end of the year. I'm too tall to fit in one, but I still like it with a proper engine swap.

43. 1979 Mercedes-Benz 300SD - Mercedes diesels will last longer than mankind.

42. 2006 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 - I read somewhere that even the SRT engineers were apologetic about this car. They did the best with what they had, effectively polishing a turd.

33. 1986 Suzuki Samurai - I want one of these for a secret project I have in mind...

26. 1991 Infiniti M30 Convertible - Also has it's dedicated following. I am in the market for one of these as I type this actually. Thanks to Nissan's parts bin engineering these are easily upgradeable if you know the right combination of S13/Z31 parts to acquire.

1. 2001 Pontiac Aztek - I will admit I have unique taste in cars, but my wife actually wants one of these. She likes how absolutely hideous it is. Matches our dog I suppose. I showed her a picture of the Isuzu Vehicross and she loved it too. Of course I think the Isuzu Axiom looks kinda cool, I'd do an LS swap, slam it, and make it a sleeper though...

Not sure why I typed all that up...........

94. 1996 Ariel Atom: Its nickname is the "woman repellent." Perfect for the track, utter misery on any road. A helmet isn't just for safety; it's the driver's roof, windshield and HVAC system. Helmet also keeps anyone you know from seeing you drive it.

90. 2000 Saleen S7: With 550 hp onboard, theoretically it was awesome. But actually it was fragile and just smelled like a kit car. Twin-turbo version came in 2005 at 750 hp with a $585,296 sticker.

Both of these are AWESOME and don't belong on the list. The Ariel Atom is a street legal go-cart, I mean come on, who doesn't love a go-cart?

#1 worst car is the Edsel, THAN the Pinto, THAN the Aztec. Don't buy these three and happy you shall be. Seriously...
