First Time I Regretted Not Buying A Car!!
So I was at an auction buying some coins and jewellery when up for auction lot 576 is a beautiful 2011 Aston Martin Vantage (White with red leather interior) convertible, 500 kms with full warranty, appraised at $123,000(clean title). So I start bidding at 15k, just to test waters. Needless to say we shot up quick and we got to 34 in 1000 intervals. So I try to shock bid the competition and offer 55k(my max) and start on the phone with the bank.
I didn't plan to buy a car this Sunday, so you can imagine my anxiety, wondering how much insurance on this beast is going to be. Just before the hammer comes down a guy bids 57k. I think to myself without checking autotrader or anything that the appraisal is probably a little high and I was not in the market for this car to begin with and I hadn't planned on spending 60k this morning so I let it go.
The guy ends up winning at $59,500. I think to myself I could have gone to 60k and why wouldn't I? Its worth over 100k and YOLO(you only live once...) Anyways saying grace is that its another 28% for taxes and shipping fee, also we have to wait to see if someone bids higher in Toronto and/or Montreal. If so you lose anyway. But still I think I lost my opportunity to own a supercar at such a great deal. Well I tell the wifey and she says "your lucky you didn't win or would be sleeping in that car." Not a bad idea. Anyways thats my little tale for the day, first time at an auction and I may be addicted, as I can't wait for the next one.

I know!!! LOL silly but I figure its an investment and for the right price and the way the world is heading gold is going to be better than currency. Although if I got the car at the right price I probably could have flipped it. O well next time I'm going to be more prepared and attend the viewing next time.

Then I thought further and remembered my situation. My wife would have said, don't worry about it, let's go to the dealer and buy one.....which is not a good thing. Next she would have been asking what I was getting for her.
You have a good wife there. Wish I had a more frugal wife.
