I want to ask all of you Lexus people, do you think the Smart Car should still be in production? Think about it-
-Probably the least safe car on the road (If you came in the path of a semi...RIP)

-Overpriced (20 Grand? Buy a used Lexus for that much)

-The look it keeps.

When Smart car's first came out, when I would see one I would think, what a cool little car!

But honestly, I think they should all go to London

I'm not saying that the Smart car is a total dump, waste of your money. It probably would be pretty good-for the first year or so.

So the point I'm trying to get across, (other than that Smart cars are not,) is

Save your sweat; Buy a Lexus!

the US car has a horrible drivetrain.....it needs to get 50mpg to succeed here.

diesel + manual tranny and it might work, right now its a huge fail.

About the back pedaling deal...You said it! Don't want to offend any Smart lovers out there though...just opinion.

In another thread about the new smart car, someone said they should bring the roadster and I must say I agree. It isn't a bad looking car. (Not sure about the performance but looks wise I like it) Back to the topic at hand, I have never been a fan of the smart car, looks like a teenagers power wheel toy. The fact they called it a smart car seemed to be an insult to everyone else who thought different.

That is a fact. I was one of the first people to get one, 6-7 years ago. Man oh man, bad choice Maybe I should have went with the LR my dad wanted to get me (probably would have still been bad with the air suspension)

Honda Fit is far superior to a Smart Car. Fit actually can sit 4-5 people, you can haul some stuff around, cheaper, about the same mpg, faster, and is a proven vehicle. Smart car is just a trendy hipster POS.

Smart car's are good on gas, that's it. I recently saw a used custom one for $25000.
Man, what waste of your money.
I would rather own a smart car than a ford tempo though! (That's about it...)

Get a Fit for $17k, that extra 5k or so for a Smart Car will buy a ton of gas for that Fit

I love the Smart, it is such a dumb car it is hilarious to me, it is comedy on the road for me. They should sell it forever!
