Default Gunmetal vs. Black Chrome wheels

Anyone know the difference between these wheel finishes?

They kind of look similar in pics online so I'm not sure how it looks in real life.

"Black chrome" is supposedly some kind of patented process rather than a gimmick. Supposedly.

Matte Graphite which is like gunmetal

Here is black chrome (I think that is a stock Ferrari wheel)

I hate shiny, though black chrome is admittedly much better than standard chrome. Gunmetal FTW.

I am one that loves actual chrome! That black chrome perhaps of the flash, it still looks like regular chrome.

Thanks for the clarifications.

I think I'm more down with Gun Metal for a Lexus, but I could see liking the Black Chrome on the right car.

Black chrome is the same as black pearl that Lexus sells. Pictures don't ever do it justice, you need to see it in person to appreciate it.

You have not seen accurate colors yet to base your decision. The big secret to black chrome is: chrome plate the wheel, spray black tint over the chrome, spray clear coating over the black. Here is my bent oem wheel I sprayed in my backyard to judge the look.
Gunmetal is the color of brakedust which is even easier to apply.
