Maybe because it's blur but it looks decent in this angle, almost sporty.

I can deal with the side profile. I can't deal with the blunt front end and the headlight shape. What a disaster. The current prius is the best looking

only because half of it is hidden by a dirt bank in the foreground.

anyway, fans will love it because it will immediate make the statement "i'm eco-friendly and proud to be different!"

the high rear end looks completely ridiculous.

The rear quarter window in the 3 Series GT is basically where the 4th Gen Prius' rear window is. The slope is quite severe and I wonder what the headroom is like in the rear seat.

It could be offset if the peak of the roof is actually higher than a normal car (think xB or Cube type front headroom). That way, the rear headroom will be similar to the current gen.

Nope, they don't want the kids in the back seat to look out the window.

I've noticed that too. Rear headroom in this 4th Gen Prius looks to be seriously compromised. Or it may just look that way due to the seeming height and sharpness of that peak.

I seem to remember Toyota saying at the time of the 3rd Gen Prius introduction that they moved the peak of the roof back to increase the rear headroom.

Or it could be an illusion. From certain angles, the Prius v and Prius c also look short on rear headroom because of the shape of the rear door, but the roof does not slope back as the rear door shape would suggest so rear headroom is maintained.

True but with the c and v, the fact that they're more wagon-like than a liftback, there's a greater chance of adequate rear headroom.

Toyota had no right ruining our drive on roads. For the next 40+ years, we have to stare at that P.O.C. backend.

The tail lights look so out of proportioned. It looks like Toyota said "Lets make the Prius as ugly as possible" or they benchmarked the styling of the Pontiac Aztek.
