Do you guys think this new 5.3L V10 could be for a LFA II?

Can't imagine anything else they'd put it into

Default Lexus LFA Code X Finishes First Race at Nürburgring

The Lexus LFA Code X had its first race this past weekend in the VLN3 ADAC ACAS H&R-Cup at the Nürburgring in Germany.

Driven by Akira Iida, Wakisaka Juichi, and Iguchi Takuto, the new race car finished third in the SPPRO class and 67th overall — photographer Arndt Carsten sent over some photos of the LFA Code X:

Considering the LFA Code X was in Japan just two weeks ago, it’s likely this first race was focused more on testing than winning.

The SP8 class was won by the Lexus IS F team of Uwe Kleen, Klaus Völker, and Jordan Tresson, followed by another IS F in third, and a LFA in fifth.

Default Video: Full Lap of the Nürburgring in a Lexus LFA Race Car

The Lexus LFA teams didn’t race in this weekend’s VLN4 race at the Nürburgring, but Gazoo Racing did post a video showing a full lap of the track with driver Kazuya Oshima from an earlier race:

This lap is from the VLN2 race in April, where Oshima-san & co-driver Kino****a Takayuki won their class and finished 18th overall.

Default Video: Lexus LFA on 20″ Vossen VFS-2 Wheels

Vossen Wheels has released a new video featuring the customized Lexus LFA from Japanese tuner LEXON:

The wheels here are the new Vossen VFS-2s, which are built using flow forming technology that allows for a greater range of widths. The LFA is running with 20×10.5 up front and a 20×12 rear for the maximum concave look.

Default Used Lexus LFA Nurburging Edition for Sale in the UK is a Steal at US$700,000...

Click here to view more photos

If it’s exclusivity you’re after then we have the perfect car for you. It's a Lexus LFA Nürburgring Edition, one of only 50 made (out of a total run of just 500 LFAs) is on sale in the UK for the paltry sum of Ł440,000 – or USD$700,000 if you live in the States.

Sure, the price tag is steep, but Lexus’ limited edition supercar is quite a peach to look at and to drive even in stock form.

For one, it is powered by a 4.8 liter V10 that sounds bonkers and, in spite of the relatively modest (compared to rivals like the F12berlinetta or the Aventador) output of 552bhp, its 3.7 second 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) run and 325 km/h (202 mph) top speed are, in our books, more than adequate.

The Nürburgring Edition, despite being 10bhp more powerful than the stock LFA, retains the same straight-line performance. That’s due to the larger front spoiler and fixed rear wing that create more drag but also more downforce, which makes it 8.85 seconds faster per lap around the Nordschleife.

Moreover, the suspension is retuned and the car height is reduced by 10mm, the new wheels are fitted with special high-grip tires and the six-speed sequential gearbox changes cogs in 0.15 seconds, 0.5 seconds faster than the stock LFA.

The LFA that’s up for sale at Joe Macari Performance Cars in London is a 2012 model, has two previous owners and 6,300 miles (10,008 km) on the odometer. It’s also white, with a tastefully done black alcantara interior as you can see in the gallery that follows.

You’d better hurry up, too, as the independent dealer says it’s believed to be the sole example available in Europe…

^^^ Looks like this is the Canadian Nurburgring Edition that was sold to the UK a while back, thus 2 previous owners ... , it has the unique alcantara steering wheel ....

Sole example of WHAT ???
He can't be talking about just the Nurburgring Edition, since there are other known Nurburgring Editions ordered and delivered to Europe, even one in UK for sure (an orange), and another bought by a German Lexus dealership owner, also in orange.
If he is just referring to the paint or the alcantara steering wheel, that's another matter ......

****** EDIT ****** or he could be just saying it's the only one available for sale in Europe NOW ?

To go for such pricing, they better spin the story a bit..

Fo comparison, you can get a lightly used regular one in the US for $300k plus or minus

Default Lexus LFA Roadster makes a surprise appearance in Tokyo

Never made it as a production model

A rather mysterious yellow Lexus LFA Roadster is being exhibited in Japan at the 2015 Media Ambition Tokyo.

Lexus unveiled the red LFA Roadster concept back in 2008 at the Geneva Motor Show but the car never evolved into a production model as Toyota stopped development blaming shaky market conditions. However, back in 2012 a white open top LFA made a surprising appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon but most likely that wasn't built/converted by Lexus as it had a rather dodgy roll bar indicating it was a custom project.

Now, a yellow LFA Roadster is being exhibited at Media Ambition Tokyo, an event organized in the Roppongi Hills building complex which showcases "advanced technology art." The supercar features in a video & sound installation entitled "1,220" which likely refers to the LFA's 1220mm height. Visitors have the possibility of getting inside the car while above the LFA is a massive screen displaying a variety of locations, trying to enable the person behind the wheel experience the sensations felt when actually driving the supercar.

Details about the vehicle are not available at this point but it's certainly not the original red concept as that one had cameras instead of mirrors and lacked turn signals. In addition, the headlights had a different shape and lacked washers while the front bumper was also different which makes us believe this is a tuning job.
