Carlsson, Brabus and Hartge.. seriously? You're totally confusing aftermarket tuners with in-house performance divisions/wholly owned subsidiaries.
When you buy from an aftermarket company, you are no longer dealing with the original manufacturer anymore, nor can you claim warranty from them. Alpina B7 is the sole exception here, but that's only because BMW does not make an M7 (yet). And yes for Alpina B7 to be sold through BMW's dealership channels it does create branding confusion for BMW M, which is why we very rarely see them around (compared to the S-Class AMG). Lexus needs one and only one performance marque for people to identify with, and that marque as we know it is the F. Adding another performance sub-brand within Lexus with no clear differentiation to the F only creates unnecessary confusion and dilution to Lexus's effort to build up its performance image.

As long as I can get my hands on a GS-F, they can call it anything they want.

you know, maybe thats why TMG brands their products "Toyota Motorsports" so far, without the GmbH :-). All the catalogues in Europe for Toyota cars actually have "by Toyota Motorsports" logo.
As I said before, TMG is engineering company. They dont decide how to call the products or even what products to build. Marketing companies do - like TMME, which is in charge of European sales for Toyota. Same as Lexus decides what to call their cars, not their factory or engineering team.
So for people thinking this will change the naming of Lexus products, i very much doubt that.

I found another article that talks about the same thing, but with much more details!
http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor...620-20mqk.html
The LS is powered a 485kW twin-turbo V8 petrol engine coupled to a dual-clutch transmission. It also features re-styled bodywork – including a large rear wing – and the suspension has also been overhauled.
It has already been tested at the Nurburgring in Germany and Japan; it is likely to debut at the Essen motor show in September.
Is all fake rumor though, there is no way they are putting a large rear wing on a LS, not to mention a LS must have a torque converter, not dual clutch. And debut in 3 months? Yeah right.

That picture was taken before christmas of last year. There's no reason to say '3 months'. The car has been in the working for almost a year now.

I was just showing you the large rear wing on the LS TMG. I don't know if you were joking in your post or what. I just put the picture up to show you the car was around for almost a year now (that picture was from September or October 2011). So the dual clutch and whatever else the article was talking about is probably fact.

You guys have to understand - german tuners do some crazy stuff to their BMW/MB.... and TMG is based in Koeln.
However there is no way that Lexus will actually sell car looking like that LS TMG.
In car business, there are separate Engineering and Marketing parts of all car companies. TMG, as engineering company, does not decide how the cars will be called or how they will look :-)
