Toyota Vellfire (Japan)
Has anyone ever driven one of these.
I was told you cannot import a car from Japan unless its 25 years old.
I would love to own one of these.

I don't imagine they would drive any differently then a USDM Sienna.
You can smuggle them in. I see illegal JDM import on the street on a daily basis. Everything from Suzuki Cappuccino to Nissan President, and of course stuff like old Skyline GTR (hell I had 2) and S15 Silvia.
No cop is ever going to care if a minivan is actually US legal

I've driven Toyota Vellfire few times in South east Asia. IMO, the ride is okay, interior is plush, design & quality wise on par with Lexus. However, the drawback is there are lots of rattles for this vehicle, and it is considered normal!! My friends and relatives who owns this car said they have rattles as well.

I've driven an Alphard. It drives more or less like a V6 Previa/Estima and probably very similar to a North American Sienna. Features and equipment, of course, are a few steps above Siennas and more similar to a base model Lexus LS. In major cities, it offers Lexus-like isolation and fits the needs of those who can afford them.
Haven't experienced a Vellfire, but since it's more or less an Alphard styled to target younger buyers I'm sure I would like it too.

Alphard & Vellfire basically the same car, like Subaru BR-Z / Scion FR-S. They only differ in front end and back end of the car and some other minor interior differences.
