Do insurance companies still pay for damages or in this case pay out for his car?
If the driver had full insurance and didn't have an OUI (operating under the influence) restriction on the policy, then yes....the insurance will pay out for the car and the property damage. But its nearly 100% certain they will terminate the policy and drop him right afterwards. In the slim chance they do keep him, his insurance premiums will skyrocket enough to where he probably wouldn't be able to pay on the policy anyway lol
