So i have my eyes on the cls55 amg, m5, m3 sedan, jaguar xf supercharged and ls 460. Which do you think is the better car and are there anymore options to add to the list?

a better list:
-CLS63 AMG (with AMG Performance Package)
-M5 (F10)
-M6 Coupe (new one)
-XFR
-LS460 or 600 hybrid (LWB)
-Audi S7 (or RS7 if it ever arrives)

oh and since you mentioned Lexus LS, I suppose you can also afford something from the premium flagship category (aka F-segment). In that case, also consider:
-Audi S8 (the new one)
-SL65 AMG
-S65 AMG (the all new model/FMC will come out before this year ends)
oh and
-Jaguar XJL Supersport (which comes with a 5.0 liter V8 with supercharger tuned to 510 hp)

Take your pick

Actually was looking at both a S6 and S8 but imreally not a fan of mercedes minus the cls55 amg and the XFR is looking quite quite attractive but my budget is under 45k used.

You're a bit all over the map... M3 and LS460 in the same consideration??? I think you need to figure out what you want in a car.

No kidding, it's hard to take the OP seriously posting cars from all different classes without a specific budget in mind. Seems like the OP is just daydreaming at this point.

I'd choose the LS460, hands-down, especially in AWD form. It will likely be the most-reliable of the bunch, give you good dealer service (though some Lexus shops have been slipping lately), be relaxing, quiet and refined to drive home at the end of a hard working-day when you are tired, and generally pamper you like a king. And the Mark Levinson stereo in the LS460 has to be heard to be believed.

If the devil owned a car, it would be a 2jz Supra Powered Lexus SC.
If the devil owned a car, it would probably be the Smart-for-Two. Have anything other than a minor accident in one, and that is one of the best ways I can think of to actually meet him.

LOL I was thinking of that too

To be honest when I was looking for a new car there was a point where I considered both an e93 M3 and LS460...I went with the 460 I think I know where OP is coming from. For people like me (young, single, etc) we don't have to necessarily get a 4-door car with MPG requirements and things of that nature which is why we are open to so many options

I can understand that. Taste varries, it doesn't have to be the same kind of style or body when looking for a car. When I was looking for a car, I looked at SUV's (escapes, CX-7, CX-9, edge) and sports sedans. opposite ends of the spectrum, but settled on my IS in the end

I can understand OP as well, and higher the budget, more choices are out there. I am considering both SUVs and Cars right now as well, and can't make up my mind.

But out of the cars you listed, I think LS460 would be the most logical choice.

You should add the Cadillac CTS-V to your list...

Or he should've posted "looking for a high performance luxury sports sedan"??? Although the LS is great choice IMO it doesn't really fit in this category. Maybe the GS-F when it debuts. Anywayz, good luck on your search OP.

In the exact same boat, young, single and dont know what the hell i want. Building a 900hp sc for a toy but want a luxury sedan for daily cruising. Not necessarily a "performance" sedan hence the spectrum is kinda broad. I fly back in country friday so i hope it comes to me by then.

SN: NO CTS-V. interior is horrible.
