Looks like an accord interior with some wood thrown in. This car is so full of fail, especially for a "flagship."

A good amount of the last RL's 48-50K (list) price, though, went into superb build-quality and materials....IMO, some of the best in the American-market. The highly-valued Yen, of course, also played a part. But I agree that Audi also puts a lot into their interiors and overall fit/finish.

Not sure if srs....

I expect $10,000 discounts on this soon.

It's like honda played a joke, bringing the RLX against the A6,E,5,GS.

Neither XTS, nor RLX. The only special thing about Acura is their AWD system, if any of their car doesn't have one, there is nothing special about it. XTS is like a car from 60. It's not ugly, but nothing is exciting.

At least it's an upgrade for the A6 2.0T FWD owners?

where does it say that?

as i read it, the rear wheels are powered by electric motors
hence this is SH-AWD II, similar to the new NSX's system (flipped)

so it is indeed state of the art and will have some awesome torque vectoring to provide the ultimate grip

Default 2017 Acura RLX Offers More Features, But Base Model Gets $3,480 Price Hike

Acura’s flagship sedan, the MY2017 RLX goes on sale nationwide tomorrow, offering a wide range of active safety technologies to customers willing to pay from $55,370, a $3,480 increase over last year’s entry-level model.

This is because the new 2017 Acura RLX’s base version is now the RLX with Technology Package, with the company dropping last year’s entry model completely.

What this means is that the RLX now comes with more equipment as standard, including the Acura Watch suite of active safety systems, including adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation braking system, forward collision warning, lane keeping assist system and cross traffic monitor among others. Other standard features also include the rear-wheel steer system, 19-inch alloys, the AcuraLink connected infotainment system and LED headlights.

The 2017 Acura RLX continues to be powered by a 310hp direct-injection 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Sport Hybrid model is going on sale later this fall. Acura had updated the chassis last year, making the RLX more comfortable and refined by retuning the suspension.

Customers will be able to choose between two trim levels: the aforementioned RLX with Technology Package and the RLX with Advance Package, with the latter priced from $61,370.

Lol right? Good news for bargain shoppers is there's well-equipped models going for mid twenties/low thirties already.

"Well Jack, we can't seem to give these things away, what should we do?"

"I dunno Bill, why don't we raise the price and see if that helps some"

LOL
