If the refresh offers plenty of new things like the new LX refresh, it could be alright but hasn't the LS already received a minor refresh? But then doing a refresh could mean that the new Lexus sedans aren't so front-loaded into one and a half year, so there are plus and minuses for both.
it is not going to be a refresh, it is FMC, just like GS.

It is a refresh. Lexus is stretching out the LS so they don't have all their sedans releases in 1 year like the 2006 IS/GS/LS and 2007 ES. The strategy is to now stagger releases to keep showroom traffic fresh every year. So the GS is now, ES later this year/early next year, then the IS late next, then the LS after that. So 2012/2013/2014/2015. This is sedan only, GX gets the facelift too...HS seems to get the ax.

They are hard on work to make the LS out of this world with a lot of focus on the hybrid.

Maybe two years and come out with 2015 LS in Feb/Mar 2014 like they did with the new generation '10 RX in Feb/Mar '09.

Whatever the case may be, that image just confirms a true F-Sport LS which is pretty exciting in its own right.

i doubt it, by the end of next year, all of their sedans will be brand new and not refreshes. You guys read too much media reports which are conjured out of thin air.

There is no way LS will be 9-10 years old when it gets FMC, they will not sell any cars anymore and will concede the market to BMW and MB.

Product redesign is more about to keep the product more competitive than to make the showroom busy. 7series and A8 were redesigned and new S-class is coming, if they keep doing it this way, those 3 will consume all the ultra luxury sedan market share for the whole 2 years.

Wouldn't make sense to just put the spindle grill on the LS and let it sell for 2 more year. Well, we will just have to wait and see.

only if they want their sales to completely die off... LS is old car now, it sales have dropped and it is not an leader anymore.

GX, LX and RS will get facelifts, but they are 3 years younger than LS... LS is as old as GS so it makes no sense to keep it on the market in current form... again, unless wants to concede its previous leadership in the class, which I bet they wont.

This is obviously the Hybrid F-Sport model with LED headlights and mesh grille w/o fogs. It looks okay I guess, though I expected more.

Lexus Advisory Board sent me a survey to fill out on the new LS...they asked about my interest in a 5 liter V8, Turbo V6, hybrid V6 and a gas V6.

Found a new source that claims that the next LS will come in the 4th quarter. Not really sure if it's legit. http://news.cens.com/cens/html/en/ne...ner_39605.html

YES If it's a electric turbo (lag-free), otherwise 5.0L V8.

Did anyone notice how the TMG edition at the Nürburgring 6 months ago looked like it was even designed to accommodate a spindle grille? Compare:

USF55? Fascia
Any 2013/2014 Lexus LS information/rumors/stories?-dithe.jpg
USF40/41 Fascia

USF40/41 II Fascias

USF45/46 Fascia

USF45/46 II Fascia

See the difference between the current generation models and the TMG model's closer resemblance to the USF50-51/USF55-56 by the lower valance grille?
