Thumbs up 2012 BMW 335i: 0 to 60 = 4.7 sec

Excellent Review and Video......I agree with a lot of the points he makes.

Benchmarks? Forget the last 335i. This new one actually accelerates at the same pace as the 320-horse, 332 lb-ft 335is -- the one with two turbos and a fast-shifting twin-clutch transmission. Our mere automatic 2012 335i, down a turbo and supposedly 20 horsepower and 32 lb-ft, reached 60 mph in 4.7 seconds and the quarter mile in 13.3 sec at 103.9 mph. That's right on pace with a Camaro SS, assuming it's driven well.

Link to review.

I saw the new 3 in person and it looks great especially with the 19s wheels, waiting for the M Sport package to be released before i will possibly get it.

2013 Lexus GS is also in consideration for my next car, I just wish it wasnt so SLOW!

Very quick! GS isn't slow just not as quick. Sadly the 3 like the 5 has gotten plumper and softer in regards to steering and handling to satisfy the masses.

This thing tuned is going to be a monster!

Amazing numbers. Did they ever get the fuel pump issue settled. I read there is a class action law suit against BMW for the massive problems with fuel pumps.

Fuel pump has Not completely been fixed, but it has IMPROVED. LOL

My pump went bad and was replaced.......had some other issues as well but overall the car has been solid.
Also the service depts in NY have been excellent, I have gone to 4 different dealerships and all have treated me great.

I haven't followed this too closely, but why is BMW calling it a 2012 when it's just going on sale now? Seems like every car company tries to reach as far as possible in the future when it comes to model year titles.

Lol this thing has better fuel economy than that Acura ILX :P

Anyways, if this new six-cylinder 3 series is awesome, then imagine the power and performance figures for the next M3

Hahaha... I actually raced my wifes 2010 335 with my 01 gs430 from a red light, and we were neck to neck until about 40, where we had to let off the gas. We were literally dead even, not being able to gain an inch on each other, but somehow the 335 feels a lot faster though.

Hahaha, not really. Her car was at the dealership for service, I dropped her off to pick the car up, and then as we were coming back home we just happened to line up at a light, so we gave it a go.

I agree.
My '09 335i felt faster than my IS350 but actual times are virtually the same.

To me the car looks the same as the old one! The front is more ugly!!!

I think it's okay but rather lease one than buy!
