Exclamation Mercedes G-Class could stick around until 2020 - report

I LOVE THE G-WAGON!!!!!!

The Mercedes G-Class is an icon from a bygone era, but the model's popularity will reportedly ensure it will remain in production for years to come.
According to Automobilwoche, Daimler and Magna Steyr are close to signing an agreement that will keep the legendary off-roader around until 2016. There's even word that the contract could be renewed to go as far as 2020.
Regardless of the final terms, Mercedes is working on an updated model that will have a significantly improved interior with a new instrument cluster, a revised center stack and an updated COMAND system. We can also expect a new G63 or G65 to replace the G55 AMG.

Has anyone ever driven one before?? I drove a AMG version once and it is amazing!! You can really tell that the car has a low center of gravity and it feels really cool to have something like that handle better than it looks.

Im the odd man out because I cant justify spending S class money for a G class. I mean it has features and interior design language from the late 90s

I think they look great, but my friend had an 09 one and she said it was nothing but problems. She traded it in after a year. You would think it would be very reliable considering its been around for a long time

My brother has a G55 and he drives it everyday, he has never had any problems with his, it's his daily driver. It really is a lot of fun to drive!
