Default Exotic Cars in Hong Kong

given the size of hong kong (most can't even understand how small hong kong is) and its population, and then the number of exotics in town, it's easily one of the highest, if not the highest, density in terms of exotic cars...

some nice pics here

yup, very true. just the number of RR at peninsula hotel alone is "stupid"

and every time i go back, in certain areas, there is just no way you can avoid seeing an exotic

The concentration of exotics are very high due to the very tiny area they are in, but the total quantity is not that high, I mean compare to the rest of the world, U.S., Europe or even Japan. When you see a big exotic gathering in Hong Kong, you see maybe 30 cars, in big events in U.S., Europe or Japan, you see hundreds, if not thousands.

put the ratio with population (7 million people), that's not a funny number. i still think when it comes to it, exotic ratio in hong kong is very nuts.

Yes if you look at the entire population of cars in HK, the exotic ratio is very high.

It makes perfect sense though, as a car is not a life necessities in HK, no one needs a car to get around. Actually it is much faster and easier to get around by subway then by a car. So people only buy a car for recreational purposes or to show off in, they don't drive it daily, combine with the 100% vehicle tax, so only rich folks owns a car. So if only rich folks buys a car for fun or to show off, of course they would mostly be exotics
