VIDEO:The Smokin' Lincoln...Fusion...err MKZ Concept
It was by chance that I was there at the exact moment the Lincoln...Fusion happened. LOL. It was one hot ride!
Here is raw video I took at the Lincoln display on Tuesday. After I stopped the footage, the Lincoln people pushed us out of their area as they were trying to find out what was burning up. As for their display, it was huge and felt like boutique shop. They did a really nice job with the whole layout. It had an open liquor and coffee bar for the press. As far as the MKZ Concept It's a shame that it only appeals to the likes of those looking to buy a Buick or an Avalon.

the thread title part about 'fusion... err MKZ' is unfortunate... of course if someone posted with 'camry... err ES' they'd be flamed.
the smoke in the car is also unfortunate, and bad P.R. but probably won't matter overall.

Interesting shot, Ryan. I guess the smoke wasn't thick enough to set off any of the show's smoke-detectors.
A shame, too, since, acording to Consumer Reports, previous FWD Fusions/MKZs ranked among the most-reliable of domestic-badged vehicles. They DID say, though, in the video, that those floor-samples were only 95%, not 100%, production-spec. Let's hope that the smoke was caused by something in that 5% that is not OK for production.

I'm sure you've figured it now that there's going to be an obvious Lexus/Toyota here as this isn't Club Ford or Club Lincoln...or Ford Owners Club. I love my Lexus but I don't spend my time at the Ford/Lincoln based forums. Never owned a Ford before, but will be parking one in my driveway soon (thanks to company car replacement).
