yeah but still 15k more than similar RX with everything :-).

I understand what you are saying though - with their latest cars, like Yaris and somewhat Camry (even GT86), they are actually using a lot nicer materials in the top end versions, vs bottom. Before it was just an wood/aluminium insert and equipment, now it is actually nicer quality interior... so there is hope for next generations :-).

it is something we Europeans prefer i guess... although after GS350, I preffer wood to aluminium, unlike rest of euros :-).

Nice refresh, subtle yet meaningful changes . The LX refresh should hopefully be a good improvement as well.

Toyota Land Cruiser has been around for 60 years since its original launch in Japan, but nowadays it seems like you'd hardly know it. It's an eight-seat, heavy, fuel-gulping SUV during a time when most are out of style, but Toyota just reworked the venerable 4-wheel-drive to try to juice is anemic sales.

Toyota is trying to give the Land Cruiser an even more rugged look. Outside, the 2013 Land Cruiser gets an updated grille and headlamps with HID low-beams, LED daytime running lights, chrome side molding, redesigned outer side mirrors and tail lamps.

To give it more off-road cred, the Land Cruiser will get underbody panels behind the front bumper and extending under the engine to protect the engine and transmission over rocky terrain. They also reduce wind drag to improve gas mileage.

Inside, the Land Cruiser will have perforated leather trim with ventilated front seats, a higher gloss wood grain finish, brighter silver instrument panel ornamentation, chrome-plated air registers and updated meter-cluster lighting. Other features include a "multi terrain monitor" with front, side or rear selectable views, "eco driving" indicator light, a heated steering wheel, and other stuff.

The Land Cruiser comes with a 5.7-liter V-8 engine producing 381 horsepower and a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The LC offered overseas looks much nicer than this abomination, I never understood why Japanese car makers in general offer two different styling for US and abroad:

Seems the US versions of all Toyota models are not as nice.

Would not pay 77K for a Land Cruiser, I'd just step up to the LX.

This exterior looks nicer than the LX to me. I'll have to see what the '12 LX looks like, but this is mighty handsome and worth every penny IMO

i dont get it, it is 100% the same... pic posted on this page are of Euro LC200, not US one.. hence that steering wheel all leather.

your pic is of pre-facelift LC200 with optional body cladding and non stock tires.

Surprisingly there are a handful of LC200s in my town. I know of all the families and they all would have no problem stepping up to the LX570. Haven't seen any of them in a while so I can't ask why the Land Cruiser over the LX.
