I know we arent talking about LX470.... cuz it's **** in their, seriously.

All the LSs are beyond serious. For anyone who is serious (no mp3s allowed)...

LX570 could use some work, but it's a huge huge vehicle and there are lots of things you have to consider, I think space and usability are a real issue-but they could've done a better job IMO considering the low production volume, it'd be okay to spend more $ it's already a 100k$ SUV

FWIW I do not know if they changed anything after the slight refresh a year ago, I got 3 LX570s black white and silver I know it in and out

Now if Motorweek is right about the tC having a more improved system than the LX.... lol I'll go check out a tC then, the new ones look pretty sweet (fwd ?)

its all about speaker placement. a 200 watt system with speakers that are on axis to the driver will sound better than any ML system. does the tc have good speaker placement? probably not. i never checked one out

ML and Pioneer radios in tC dont have anything in common, at all, to be able to say that it is "upgraded" unit..

I was a big fan of the old school Motorweek.

There is no way the tC has a better radio than the LX570. I've never heard a stock tC's radio before though. Everyone that has one puts a nice aftermarket stereo in them.

For the record everyone. I have checked (via my husbands University of Toyota account). The LX570 does it fact have Pioneer hardward. I can't yet access/match the hardward or part number for the Scion tC.

So yes, the LX does use a Pioneer unit but not yet sure if it is the same unit as the Scion.

I can PM part numbers if anyone is interested.
