I have always named my cars. Just something that people do. Its not like I talk to the car or refer to it strictly by the name I gave it , but they usually have a name. Have you given your car a name and what is it??

Example

1986 Civic - I named it Vic
1986 Prelude - The Lude
2003 G35 - G low or Dubs bunny (lol)
2007 GS350 - SOOS
2007 LS460 - Biggie

I owned several American-made lemons, in the late 70s and early 80s, that, for various reasons, spent more time in the repair shop than out, and had overly-lean-running carburators that were miserable to drive. What I sometimes called them, I prefer not to share in polite company.

It took me a minute to figure that one out. That's very smooth.

I call my Lexus the Psycobilly Lexus. That is because when I got the car, i needed some tunes and stopped in at the gas station where I worked and bought a Johnny Cash CD and the first song I listened to was One Piece At a Time(a classic for any of you who haven't heard it). At one point, he refers to his car as a the Psychobilly Cadillac, and I always liked that. Since I'm somewhat of a redneck, have used the car for redneck purposes, and because it has random psychopathic episodes(like the other day when the alarm kept going off, even while driving), it has earned the name Psychobilly Lexus.

Husband's pick up is "Juggs." Lic plt #s are 44D (rolls eyes)

Husband's Harley is "Vader" because his friend kept calling it the Star Wars bike due to all the electronics.

Shannon!!

This post is relevant to an article I saw today:

Nearly half of Brits surveyed name their cars... do you?

A new study commissioned by British parking lot operator NCP has found that nearly half of all UK drivers name their vehicles. Researchers questioned a total of 3,000 UK drivers ranging in age from 17 to 45 to determine whether or not they have a special moniker for their vehicle. The study also took the time to look into which names drivers chose.

In the UK, most drivers tend to prefer names derived from celebrities, with 24 percent of those surveyed opting for high-profile labels. Prince William and Lady Gaga are apparently two of the most popular vehicle names at the moment, though drivers also favor cartoon characters, sports figures and politicians.

Interestingly enough, three percent of those surveyed say they name their vehicle after coworkers. It makes us wonder what kind of vehicle Dwight Schrute from The Office would be. Clearly, not everyone feels attached enough to their car to give it a name, with 20 percent of those surveyed saying those who do are "sad." Some people just don't know how to have any fun, eh?

Our staff's driveways are filled with plenty of unique vehicular characters, including one very determined '78 International Scout Terra that goes by the name Death Proof.

My SC is Gabriella, named after tennis star Gabriella Sabatini, who I was enamored with back in the day. My FJ is Black Bear (or Big Bertha as some of my friends call it after I referred to it as BB once) and my S is the Silver Bullet.
