Dear Santa, My Son Wants the World's Fastest Toy Car . . .

It's the 100 mph R/C XO-1 from Traxxas, and if you think that's 100 scale mph, you'd be wrong. At 0-60 in 2.3, this thing will hole-shot a Veyron, and probably punch a hole in your basement wall before you can release the trigger. Ruh-ro . . .
With a fully-articulated suspension, AWD, and aero body designed to produce downforce at speed, it even offers an optional i-Phone app that reports real-time telemetry on speed, rpm, temperature and battery voltage. That app is also necessary to access the XO-1's top speed, functioning as a "valet key" as well when the kids are playing with it.
At $1099, you may want to invest in a track day or two before enabling the big power, but then again, that's a good idea for any exotic. While a grand may seem expensive for an R/C car, when you consider it an alternative to a Veyron for the masses, it doesn't look like such a bad deal.
You ARE buying this for your kid, aren't you?

And at WOT the battery lasts about 6 minutes. But where are you gonna be able to drive something this size for 6 minutes at 100mph? Anywhere I freakin want.

I'm trying to talk my boss into carrying this. We've sold Traxxas vehicles since they first came out. Great brand. 100 mph is insane. Anything above 40 mph is hard to control.
Gas was once faster, now it's all electric. Better batteries and better motors.
