Agreed! I have my new C&D issue, M5 is on the front page, but I haven't read it yet because I know it will make me want to car so bad! However, I don't want to pay over 1K lease for a car, can't even completely write off on my tax!

haha yeah with the m5 i don't think you can get anywhere less than 1k, especially the first yr or two. unless economy slumps even worse and bmw decides to pull more stunts on the residual

Yep, I probably will just lease either the GS or 550i and buy the FR-S for fun, for the price of the M5.

When every car that I am interested debut, I check to see if I love to own one. It doesn't necessarily mean I am switching car I am very content with what I have right now. I am mainly doing research for future references.

It takes Jeff a long time before he decides want to get, and once he gets it, he will stick with it for a long while.
Sigh.. I wish I could do that instead of buying selling modding and losing money.

Wow, you know me!

I am poor, that's why I must do that Your way is much more exciting though, but only ballers can afford that

I hate buying and selling, also once I narrow down exactly what I want, there usually just one single car fulfill that exact requirement, so it is pointless for me to keep switching cars, I would be just switching to the same model of car

It is getting more difficult to decide which car to buy now, I think we all getting too picky!

Sure there is cars/SUVs I want, but they are way too expensive.

I have realized a few reasons for that after all these years:

1, You must figure out very clearly what exactly that you want, amount of speed, handling, sounds, utilities, prestige and how much you want to spend. Most people don't spend a whole lot of time to really narrow down exactly what they want, they just buy something new that came out that excite them at the moment, but the car actually don't exactly fit their needs or preferences.

2, For a car enthusiast, it is really necessary to have multiple cars, at least 2, more is of course better. The reason for that is, every car serve a different purpose, and we need a different car to fit our constantly changing moods. 2 is good, one for comfort and utilities, the other is for fun. If you only have one car, half of the time you don't like it because it doesn't suit your needs at those moments, so over time you think you don't like the car anymore. I am not bragging or talking smack, I really think that is the case. Also we get bored driving the same car everyday, after a few months or a year or so, we are sick of it. If we can switch between at least 2 cars, the freshness last A LOT longer. It works for any budget also, you just have to own 2 cars that cost half as much as one expensive one. I think it works better to own 2 cheaper cars then one expensive one. Is hard though, now that I am doing the 2 cars system that is working perfectly for me, once in a while I still think about maybe I should combine the 2 into one twice as expensive car.

Those are my conclusions after my experiences.

The problem is they are all getting so amazing but also cost an amazing amount, that's why is so difficult

I will be happy if I own a Lx570 for the family, a M5 or 750 Alpina for work, and a Porsche 911GTS for weekend. Sigh, maybe in 10 yrs.

I narrowed down to 3:

A dead silent full size sedan for total comfort for the daily grind: Lexus LS, S-Class, 7-Series, S8, XJR...........etc.

A sexy convertible NA super loud high revving screamer RWD coupe for the weekend: M3, NSX, 458, S2000, R8, Gallardo......etc.

A sick fast super sonic twin turbo 4WD land rocket 0-60 under 3s for the need for speed once in a while: 911 Turbo, Nissan GTR.

Whoa, tuition fees costs MILLIONS (in American dollars?)? Just to get into American tertiary level education?

What kind of educational institutions charge that much?

@BNR34

Haha, you know what would be awesome: To have more cars than Jay Leno's garage.
