Sad, isn't it?
yep, no response at all b/c we know better than to get excited for "nothing"
I didn't bother to respond there either

Honda's pitiful lineup is just bad enough already. It's going to take more than a miracle to redeem themselves.

Have you seen a unicorn?

Neither has any of us, so you won't be seeing a new NSX any time soon

I've gotta see it to believe it. I'm not holding my breath for this.

It takes YEARS to develop a proper sports car. If they've started the project recently and they're ready to sell it next year, then it could only mean one thing: They're using the same global platform, same j-series engine, but sticking in the IMA setup.

If it's not going to be like the original NSX, then DON'T call it an NSX. It an insult to the original NSX designers.

Agreed....but only to an extent. The power-level of the original NSX (290 HP, 224 ft-lbs. of torque) would probably be inadequate for a new version. Today, the typical mid-size family-sedan, with a V6, easily runs that much (often more), though, of course, it is not light and all-aluminum like the NSX..

I see the new NSX in a detuned form of this baby.

And then I woke up.

Agreed. The HSC looked like a real NSX successor.

Misleading thread title, it should be changed so people don't get their hopes up.

Och those pics you keep posting are priceless ! They've become the highlights of any Honda/Acura future product thread posted here on CL .

What a slap in the face to Honda that the NSX Prime forums now have a "unicorn" forum .

I agree with what others have mentioned. Whatever this new "NSX" is, it will likely have FWD or FWD-based SH-AWD, a J-series V6, and Honda's IMA setup slapped on. It also will probably weigh close to 3500 lbs or more. So in conclusion, it will be a complete disappointment.

IF we ever get a new NSX, it will probably just use the same V6 from the Accord or something. Knowing Honda, it's definitely something they would do.

The more I think about it, the more I believe Honda is one of the worst companies to be producing a new NSX. They need to improve so many other company dynamics before stepping back into the ring with a super car. It would be a disaster if they went ahead with an NSX.
