Decisions, decisions....97-01 NSX vs. C6 Z06?
Which would you buy and why? I will be in the market to buy one within a year. I ruled out the GT-R because of maintenance costs, the IS-F cuz it's kinda boring, and the Germans mainly because of reliability.
Both the NSX and C6 Z06 are similarly priced, pretty reliable, and I already own an mkiv supra, just interested to hear opinions....
I posted about RX7 vs. 240sx a couple months ago and ended up with an SC400 (240sx fell through). Don't regret that at all! The SC400 is the hidden gem of Lexus nowadays

I will end up selling the SC400 and my '87 Trans Am GTA to make room for the NSX / Z06. Then I will be driving the Supra and NSX / Z06 for spring, summer, and fall. I currently have a 2001 Prelude with 8,000 miles as my winter beater, and the wifey has a GLK350.
As for the IS-F, i think it is somewhat bland. I had an old GS400 that I felt had more character than the IS-F. My wife feels the same way about her GLK350...she wants her old RX400h back! Must be something about those last-gen lexus vehicles. But I prefer the LS600hL over the IS-F, which is on my hit list in several years when I get tired of my superslow prelude.

NSX, I know people with the Z06 and it's a wonderful machine and a lot you can do with it, but the NSX is probably going to be more in with what you have had in the past.

NSX because of the rarity. The only think I dont like about NSX's is because it shares the same engine as a TL. A NSX w/ a comptech s/c and all the other goodies will be badass. And may I ask how you think a ISF is boring?

I feel like the IS-F doesn't carry the presence that the LS600hL / NSX / Z06 has. And the IS-F is automatic, which doesn't help its case. I will be looking for a manual NSX, and the Z06 only comes in manual. When I stand next to an NSX, I whisper to myself "dammm." When I see a murdered out Z06....I fear the assassin lol. But when I stand next to the IS-F it only draws a "that's sweet" from me. Meanwhile, the LS600hL strikes me as the pinnacle of achievement. I might have wanted an IS-F before I got my supra (my supra is automatic). But I'm currently in the market for manual, and even then when I think about it....when I park my supra next to an IS-F, I will take my supra any day!
Idk how else to explain it.
