Default Toyota teases FT86 II Concept (video)

Someday we'll get to see the production version of the Toyota FT-86 in dealer showrooms. Someday. That time has yet to arrive, and Toyota is trotting yet another new version of the concept out to the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. According to the automaker, this latest edition is a slightly reworked version of the FT-86 II concept that we've already seen.

The sports coupe heading to Germany, however, has reportedly been lightened up, and is also faster than the previous car. The previous car being another concept, of course. Toyota has put together a teaser video of the updated car, which you can view after the jump.

Dear Toyota... we're ready for this thing to arrive, and we're pretty sure everyone reading along is as well. Bring on the production version!
Is it me or does the FT kind of resemble a LFA in the front? I'm excited about the debut.

Another bloody concept? I'm getting tired of seeing countless concepts for a car that from spy shots looks super bland. It just sets up consumers for disappointment.

People said that about the 4GS before it came out, now since it's debut mostly all the people that were dissing it now love it. So just wait for the finished product before judging it.

When is this coming out already? It's been sooo long since they showed this concept... holy crap you'd think it would be out by now.

Hopefully next year sometime. It'll probably debut at Frankfurt later this year.

Well who knows lol? I guess its the FT86 now. I'd choose that name over it being branded as a Scion.

A "new" FT-86 "II"? Shouldn't this be called the FT-86 IV by now?

Hopefully they'll show us a production-ready interior this time.

What is the point of showing a concept if you don't produce it.....the new GS is nice but not close to the concept at all. Lexus use a totally different headlight <--bug disappointment!!! No wonder Mecedes, Audi, & BMW are out selling Lexus!!

Disappointment for you. They are getting this car right and it takes time. If you want a 1/2 assed rush job, the compeititon can supply that.
