Can be equipped with a Scossa Rossa body kit
MEC Design has introduced their new styling program for the Ferrari 458.
Starting with the exterior, the model can be equipped with a Scossa Rossa body kit that includes a front lip spoiler, "spoiler corners," extended side skirts and a three-piece rear diffuser. The components can be purchase separately or as a kit that starts at €6,900 ($9,565).
Customers can also order lowering springs and a sports exhaust system that delivers an 'apocalyptic' noise. The company also offers a variety of wheels in sizes ranging from 20- to 22-inches.
Interior changes are limited but options include carbon fiber trim, special sill plates and MEC-branded floor mats.
A beautiful red Ferrari 458 Italia, fitted with Capristo exhaust system, has been recently filmed while running around the streets of Monaco. Thanks to a YouTube video by WorldSupercars, you can compare this car with a stock 458 Italia.
Some users comment the tuned vehicle is actually straight piped, but we can’t tell for sure if this is true or not.
The 458 Italia is powered by a 4.5-liter direct injected V8 unit, generating 570 PS (425 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft). The Italian supercar rockets from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.4, before topping out at 325 km/h (202 mph).
Duke Dynamics has released the first details about their upcoming styling program for the Ferrari 458 Italia.
Dubbed the 458 Velocita, the model has been equipped with new bumpers, carbon fiber side skirts and a revised hood. The car also has a rear spoiler and custom exhaust tips.
The company doesn't have plans for any performance upgrades at this point but the standard model has a 4.5-liter V8 engine that produces 570 HP (419 kW) and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in less than 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed in excess of 325 km/h (202 mph).
The styling package will be released later this year and pricing will be announced closer to launch.

Vogue Auto Design and Gray Design have teamed up to create the Ferrari F458 Curseive.
Drawing inspiration from the 458 GT3, the model has been equipped with a new front bumper, a front splitter and widened fenders. The car has also a new rear bumper, a rear diffuser and a track-inspired rear wing or ducktail spoiler. The components can be constructed from carbon fiber or carbon Kevlar and customers can have them painted upon request.
The F458 Curseive has also been equipped with a Bilstein PSS9 coilover suspension and wider wheels which are available in four different designs. Customers can also order stainless sport exhaust systems and optimized ECUs.
Two Ferrari 458 GT3 race cars were revealed yesterday afternoon in Toronto, Canada ahead of their Pirelli World Challenge debut at St. Petersburg, Florida next weekend.
Pirelli World Challenge is going to be nuts this year because of new regulations that allow GT3 cars to compete. Toronto-based R. Ferri Motorsport will field two GT3 spec Ferrari 458 race cars in the series this year as one of two teams running the Maranello brand’s cars. The team unveiled both cars yesterday during a special event, offering a chance to see the cars before they enter what’s sure to be a rough race series.
World Challenge races take place on tight road courses, last an hour and kick off with a standing start. The cars that R. Ferri will race with begin with the same tub as a road-going 458 and the same engine. Aside from that, everything other component is racing specific. The body panels are all made of carbon fiber and the wheels, tires, dampers are all specific to FerrariGT3RaceCar1.jpgthe cars. Of course, it has a pneumatic racing gearbox as well.
A normal 458 Italia makes 562 hp, but that would make the cars shown here too powerful for the races. To comply with regulations, the engines have a restrictively small intake. That allows the engine to reach its usual sky-scraping 9,000-rpm redline while still staying within the limits of the class.
The first race takes place next weekend in St. Petersburg. Round one takes place on Saturday at 3 p.m. and round two on Sunday at 11 a.m. Among the spectacles, you’ll be able to see a long-time rivals Ferrari and McLaren going head-to-head.

This special supercar is 70 kg (154 lbs) lighter than the standard 458 Italia and has 590 HP and 560 Nm of torque. Thanks to this, it accelerates to 62 miles per hour (100 km/h) from a standstill in only 3.2 seconds reaching a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).
DMC has released a new styling package called Monte Carlo for the Ferrari 458 Italia and Spider.
After the Elegante and Estremo visual makeovers, DMC has returned with a styling upgrade for the 458 Italia and 458 Spider that includes a redesigned front bumper together with a custom front lip made from carbon fiber and side-mounted bumper diffusers.
SR AutoGroup was in charge of providing both vehicles with a set of PUR alloy wheels measuring 21-inch at the front and 22-inch for the rear axle. These rims have been wrapped around in 255/30 front and 335/25 rear Pirelli sport tires while rounding off the list of changes is a set of sport springs which has brought the vehicles closer to the road.
If you have enough cash stacked in the bank to afford buying a track-only, racing version of an exotic supercar, then you should consider yourself one of the luckiest gearheads in the world.
One of the options available to these few fortunate individuals is the Ferrari 458 Challenge, introduced in 2010 and made available for order since 2011. Whether you consider the following owner of the 458 Challenge lucky, is a matter of perspective.
You see, he's unlucky, because he crashed the 570-horsepower, high-revving model from Maranello during a quick lap at the Nürburgring race track when he came out of a corner too fast (around 220km/h or 137mph), stepped on grass, and well, you can figure out the rest.
On the other hand, as we're told by the YouTube author of the video that shows the crash from the onboard camera, both the driver and passenger made it out unscathed.
DMC in collaboration with Luxury Custom applied a black treatment on a Ferrari 458 Italia wearing a custom body kit.
The Ferrari 458 Italia was fitted by Swiss-based Luxury Custom with DMC's "Elegante" styling kit which makes the supercar look considerably more aggressive. The aerodynamic package brings a new front spoiler lip, bigger side skirts and a different rear bumper with a modified diffuser.
The entire car is wearing a sinister black paint matched with the tinted windows and taillights. It also comes with dark alloy wheels while the brake calipers were painted in yellow to provide an appealing contrast.
There's no word about hardware upgrades so the 458 Italia comes with the stock V8 4.5-liter delivering 570 HP (419 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 540 Nm (398 lb-ft) at 6,000 rpm. The engine is coupled to a dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox and will do 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in less than 3.4 seconds before hitting a top speed of more than 202 mph (325 km/h).
Or at least it will make you forget about it for the three minutes that the video posted below lasts for. The clip features Ferrari’s latest and greatest non-hybrid driver’s car that is said to not only be an improvement over the standard 458, but more of a new car in its own right: the cleverly dubbed Speciale.

Two GoPro cameras placed outside make the most of the delicious high-revving V8 noise, which you can enjoy by scrolling down. Most of the footage is made up of on-road driving, in traffic, with occasional deeper and lengthier prods of the throttle. The start of the video does show a walk-around of the car and a bit of an exhaust note teaser too.
Here's a tuning kit from Vorsteiner aimed at those Ferrari 458 Italia owners who would like a more individual look for their coupe without going haywire or messing around with the engine bay and/or interior.
Named the 458-V, the main package comes with three carbon fiber aero parts, including an add-on front lip spoiler, and add-on decklid spoiler and a replacement rear diffuser complete with taller fins and new rear fog lamp housing to accommodate the new bridge element.
On the options list is a range of forged aluminum monoblock alloy wheels, with Vorsteiner proposing its VS-110 rims that it says, "are perfectly customized for the 458 and designed to minimize unsprung weight and improve vehicle handling and performance". These wheels are available in 20 and 21 inches in a number of finishes to match the vehicle's color and are made to retain the Ferrari center cap.

Seeing the mostly positive reactions to its Ferrari F12berlinetta "Spia" program, German aftermarket specialist DMC has released a similar cosmetic and performance treatment for the 458 Spider named the "Elegante".
DMC starts with the body of the Italian exotic that gains a prominent lip splitter, a new vented hood painted in black, extended side skirts, a blade rear wing, along with carbon fiber mirrors, front wings, rear diffuser and fog light covers.
The Elegante rides on 21-inch wheels shod in Pirelli high-performance tires size 255/30 on the front axle, and 22-inch rims in tires size 335/25 on the rear, with DMC offering buyers a wide choice of colors for the forged alloy wheels.
For the interior, DMC says it has several options ranging from a redesigned steering wheel and carbon fiber buttons, to a fully re-done cabin from top to bottom.
On the performance front, the German company developed a new ECU, which along with the sports stainless steel exhaust system, push output from 570PS (562hp) to 608PS (600hp) and 568Nm (419 lb-ft), with the finishing touch coming from the new sport springs for the suspension.
