I guess I kinda find it funny when people say old people buy a certain car and use it like its a negative thing. Contrarily, they like to talk about young people buying cars and how financially irresponsible it is. Then they applaud younger people buying luxury cars from brands not Lexus.

Funny.

The GS350 and IS350 engine features Direct Injection and Port Fuel Injection where the Avalon, ES350, RX350 and Camry engine has Port Fuel Injection and no Direct Injection. The IS250 engine has Direct Injection but no Port Fuel Injection.

There is still no denying the fact that this current Avalon is a boring car though.

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Still
Either way, the Avalon that I'm seeing is boring and is something that I won't spend my money on.

I'd rather spend it on this instead:

Just saying

I think the current Avalon is pretty cool. The should have kept the "touring" version around longer though. I think it got dropped at the refresh.

The new avalon is much better than the previous gen. However, the price is a little close to the ES, which I never understood why anyone would pick this over the ES.

And I don't know why anyone would get a buick over this

I hope the new avalon won't have the ugly saggy butt syndrome like the a7

the Avaon is bigger especially the backseat space ... Of course the ES looks more elegant than the Avalon ...

I looked at the Avalon with my brother several times, it usually lacked obvious features that every other car had even a loaded Camry, my brother and I got tired of the sales people crap, and the price made us walk 3 times, hopefully Toyota gets this Avalon right

Audi A7? I really hope not. That is an overhyped, disappointing vehicle in terms of styling, with a large hump in the rear and a droppy sad-looking rear end.

This implies the next-gen Avalon will be sleek and more futuristic. In any case, as long as it doesn't look better than the next-gen ES and isn't a copycat of any competing models than it should be fine.

It wasn't even Toyota that made the comparison.

When I was at the dealer last year getting my sienna, I thought it was pretty loaded (I wasn't really paying attention, but I did get to play with it though)

What was it missing that the loaded camry had?

Yeah, avalon was $$$, I could never understand an xle camry ($30k+)

Only people who have seen it are dealers at the dealership meeting, and it most likely was a drawing or clay concept model as no prototypes have been built at TMMK.
