This car would be the best bang for the buck in 2 years at an auction with about 40k miles. As a brand new car i wouldn't finance it or lease it ( unless lease is somewhere $400-$480). 100k 10 year warranty really gives you a peace of mind for you're money.

Agree, steetring wheel is weak. Also think the rims look toyish and cheesy. Rest of the package is still pure Genesis... a generic looking sedan that has no new or original lines. Not a bad car, but not one I'd sit behind the wheel of.

Don't let Hyundai's trade-in Assurance Program fool you. All it is doing is guaranteeing a certain dollar number at trade in, no matter how pitiful the amount is. (it will be pitiful)
Also, the fine print says that your local Hyundai dealer can adjust this amount for any reason. According to their website a $36,000 Hyundai Genesis will retain 41% of its purchase price after 4 years. (That's their guarantee) That give's you what, almost 15k at trade. That's just laughable! That is a literal slap in the face. If you traded it in for a different manufacturer you'd be certain to get way more.

and I believe I read a mmarshall post that the car has to be exclusively serviced by Hyundai.

Unfortunately, with 43 more horsepower than the outgoing V6 and improved fuel economy, the base 3.8-liter Genesis is more appealing than ever. With a snappier final drive ratio than its V8 brethren, the V6 even feels pretty quick off the line, making the extra coin for the 5.0 R-Spec even more difficult to justify. If you're signing on the dotted line for a Genesis, stick with the base model and use some of the cash you saved to pick up a set of the Bridgestone rubber available on the big R for a little more grip. You'll be happier in the long run.

each luxury can i've owned has dropped 4-5k a year in value, even with low miles, so 4 yrs from 36-15k is just over 5k drop a year, that's to the dealer. of course you can do better with private or other trade, so it's reall no slap in the face

This is not a win/win situation for the consumer.
My point is, the Hyundai Assurance Program is not all it's cracked up to be.
