What was your first car?

I got you beat mmarshall. My first car was a 1963 Buick Special.
A college friend from out of the country bought it for me for $600 if I'd take him to Niagara falls and to my home in NY for Thanksgiving break back in 1975. There was no heater so we drove with blankets on and had to scrape the ice off the inside of the windshield all the way from college in Wisconsin to my home in upstate NY (east of Albany). That was one cold trip....
My car was light blue and didn't come with the dame.

1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 back in 1992. I dont know what my parents were thinking. I was only 16 and did not respect that car as much as I should have, doing donuts in empty parking lots and racing on school grounds.

I got a 1986 Ford Taurus in 1992, upon graduating from high school. It lasted me until 1998, when I graduated college. Feast your eyes on this beauty!
Last pic before trading in my Taurus for $100
To top it all off, it squeaked as bad as it looked!

Lexus Champion
A '69 Dodge Dart GT with 318 V8, auto tranny, and Redline tires which were a big deal back then. MSRP was $3,700, not cheap for that size vehicle. $5 worth of gas would fill the tank. It wasn't that reliable, but it was a good looking car for the time.

My first car was a 1994 maroon Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. The car was really nice looking and had a surprisingly high quality interior with nice materials that never rattled or squeeked, nicer then the next generation of Eclipse. It handled well and was comfortable to drive but pretty slow and fairly reliable in the beginning until the last few years when I had a bunch of idiots who did not know what they were doing work on it and make it worse. Had a bunch of fun and good memories while owning that car, man I can't count how many times I drove to the beaches in Delaware in it and how many girlfriends and dates I had while owning that car.

Well, you youngsters may be interested that my first car was a ’57 Chevrolet Bel Air. Yes, I’m sorry I traded it in on a new ’63 Oldsmobile (Dynamic 88). ’57 Chevys are collectable today, but the Oldsmobiles are long forgotten.
