Lexus TV ads: few and far between?
Maybe the shortage of cars is really starting to hit. For about a month now, I've not seen any Lexus ads on TV advertising the usual loss leader lease deals. Ads are usually very strong this time of year, as the model year is closing out and people are learning about the next ones coming. Things were definitely cooking this time last year.
So what do you all think? Economy improving equates to worse rates, or shortage of cars?

The CT ad showing the car scrambling through a bunch of downtown city streets tries to pass the car off as "the world's most fuel-efficient luxury car". Though it's a nice small hatchback, the CT is not what I would call a luxury car by any means. I wrote, in my CT review, that I thought it should have been marketed as a Toyota instead of a Lexus.....I still feel that way.

I've seen a fairly good of Lexus commercials as well, notably the resale value one, the CT200h, and "The hard way" or something of that nature. I only have channels 2, 4, and 5 due to my off the air reception at my location, so that's not too bad. Hopefully they have new and different ones coming out.

Lexus/Toyota have said that they will cut back incentives and advertising, but obviously only to certain point.
it is not like they dont have any cars to sell.... a lot of the cars had healthy supplies and they are available... problem is with newer cars like CT and RX which are in high demand. I think in April Lexus had only 16 days of RC450h.

I see a decent number of Lexus commercials playing, but not as many as the Hyundai Trade In Guarantee/Assurance or the Ford Interview commercials. Acura with "Aggression in it's most elegant form" blah blah. Chevy runs deep etc.. for the most part I think it's pretty balanced

What I'm not seeing are the ads that end in the lease payment. But yeah, still seeing the non-lease commercials for the RX and CT.
