I used to ride a 600rr and eventually moved on to a SV650s for the track. The only two wheeler I have now is a Vespa =).

I rode the foothills of NorCal for a few years on a variety of bikes, then went racing with the AFM. I learned pretty quickly it isn't possible to go fast on the street, even when you think you're fast, you're not. My last time on the track was in '91 on my FJ1100 (highly modified). I also worked in a shop building engines and doing road race fabrication. I ended up doing head work almost exclusively.

Now I ride my old man's bike (best for fat old men with bad backs):

Or my really old man's bike ('78 Campy Super Record anyone?):

And yeah, I also raced bicycles in the late 70's through 1980. I trained with this guy.

Bought myself a new Buell XB9 2 weeks before Buell announced they were shutting down. Pissed me off cause I could have saved quite a bit of money if I had waited 2 weeks.

Had a 2001 MV Agusta F4S before the buell. Loved that bike, but needed something more commuter friendly. Like the Buell, but there's no comparison in performance to the MV.

I currently do not have a bike but have owned many over the years. I used to race motorcross and go-carts. Last two bikes - Suzuki GSX750R and Suzuki M109R.

I'm surprised PhilipMSPT hasn't checked in. He's one of our CL bike-experts.

'99 Suzuki Bandit 1200S here... purchased new, has around 52k miles.

Serves for weekend fun, commuting or cross-country trips.

Liquid cooling and FI - bah - those are just fads.
