I think people prefer the look of the CT over the HS...If anything, they should have put the HS powertrain/refinement/smoothness into the CT and priced that at 34K, and got rid of the HS period.

Thanks.
The down-side to that kind of sharp handling, though, can be a rather un-Lexus-like ride. Few manufacturers outside of BMW and Mercedes can really master the ride-handling balance, though, surprisingly, Buick has done it very well with the new LaCrosse.
It's already on the review list.
I'm interested to see how well the GX handles its tall stance, high-center-of-gravity, and narrowness of width......that is a old formula for instability and tipsiness.
I like that Lexus stepped a bit out of the box in terms of the handling with the CT (based on the reviews of it cornering rather flat etc). Hopefully this continues with the soon to be relaesed GS & IS.
side note,
I too would like a review from you of the GX460 being an owner of a 2010 4runner(platform sibling). I have considered it to someday replace my 4runner, maybe a used one.
Thanks,
Brandon

I agree, though, with your statement......Lexus should have done an HS hatchback instead, and let the CT be a Toyota.
hard not to.

Thanks. My reviews are done primarily to give a thorough description of the car from nose to tail, how well you fit in it, how the car behaves in normal driving and some mildly aggressive manuvers, and what you basically get for your money. I think that is more important than concentrating on 0-60 times, minimum-stop distances, skidpad figures, slalom speeds, etc...... like some of the auto mags do.

You also have to look at the difference in size and interiors. Larger adults can fit comfortably in the HS, at least in the front seat. Not necessarily so with the CT.

Thanks.
Right now, they're somewhat hard to get because of their newness, high gas prices, and the supply-and-demand market for small hybrids. As more of them come onto the market in the future, they should be easier to get, particularly if gas prices drop.
I am considering getting one of these in a few years.

Regardless of that, dents and dings can be fixed even if they make the car ugly. Side molding (on most, but not all, cars they don't flow with the lines of the cars and hence look tagged on and ugly) is permanent.
