Default Lamborghini Aventador Pirelli Edition available this summer

Lamborghini offers buyers incredible levels of performance combined with angular, avant-garde styling That grabs everyone's attention. Now, the Italian brand is giving its customers the chance to flaunt their supercars even more with a new Aventador Pirelli Edition.

Designed to celebrate Lamborghini's relationship with Pirelli that goes back to the tires on the original 350 GTV prototype, these special-edition Aventadors keep all of the high-performance mechanicals and add a little extra to show off in two available looks. The first paints the roof, pillars, mirrors, engine cover and intakes matte black and gives the body a high-gloss finish in the buyer's choice of six colors. Alternatively, the supercars can have gloss black for those portions and paint the rest of the bodywork in a choice of four matte shades. Either the coupe or roadster can be ordered this way.

Regardless finish, all of these Aventadors get a thin, red stripe over the roof, engine cover, mirrors and air intakes. The whole look is completed with red brake calipers (yellow for Rosso Mars models) and gloss-black wheels. As should be obvious, these editions wear the Pirelli tires, specifically P Zeros.

The interior carries the motif inside. The seats are clad in black Alcantara and feature red stitching along with Lamborghini and Pirelli crests on them. The red stripe from the outside also covers the ceiling and seats, too. Naturally, a plaque identifies these models as part of this special-edition series.

The Aventador's usual mechanical bits hide underneath the two-tone look, meaning each is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 pumping out 691 horsepower with power going to all four wheels. The Pirelli Editions are available for order now and deliveries start in the early summer of 2015.

Lamborghini Aventador receives subtle gold treatment from Maatouk Design London [video]

Owned by a Qatari businessman

Maatouk Design London has applied a rather tasteful gold treatment on a Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.

Gold on supercars or any other type of vehicle for that matter usually doesn't work since most of the times there's just too much of it both inside and out but Maatouk Design London didn't follow the norm and applied it only here and there. The Aventador is owned by a businessman from Qatar and was modified to celebrate the country's national day and thankfully it doesn't look tacky as many other gold-finished cars.

The precious metal was used to adorn the wheels, front splitter, air vents surrounds, logos as well as other bits and pieces while on the inside it can be seen on the door sills, central tunnel, instrument dials, steering wheel and around the door handles.

Pricing has not been specified for this Aventador Roadster photographed on the streets of Qatar's capital Doha but Maatouk Design London says it's a one-of-a-kind modification so surely it wasn't cheap especially after using all that gold.

Saw a white Aventador yesterday. Was coming down my neighborhood hill to a perpendicular back road, lots of fog early morning and in a blink of an eye it was gone. Just the howl of the V12 gave evidence of its existence

Default Aventador LP720-4 and Lamborghini Speedboat Show Up in Palm Beach [w/Video]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4HlVKUo9gao

There were plenty of hot cars as well as speedboat counterparts during Supercar Week 2015, held in Palm Beach, Florida. However none more spectacular than this 3,420 HP yellow Lamborghini land and sea duo.

The 720 PS, four-wheel drive Aventador Roadster 50 Anniversario is one of the finest machines known to man, and when it came out in 2013 it was limited to just 200 units (100 Coupes and 100 Roadsters).

In case you forgot about it, it was revealed (the Coupe) at the 2013 Shanghai Auto Show, and featured enlarged front air intakes and rear diffuser, exclusive Giallo Maggio body color with a sparkling yellow paintwork, two-tone front and rear sills, Nero Ade leather upholstery for the interior and a 50th anniversary emblem in forged composite carbon-fiber. The cost of one was $750,000.

Believe it or not, that's a real bargain compared to this Lamborghini themed speedboat, worth no less than $1.3 million. But hey, if you can afford one, might as well get the other right? Especially if you live near the ocean and you enjoy riding the waves as much as you enjoy cruising the streets. The speedboat itself has 2,700 HP, is 48 feet long and is powered by a pair of twin-turbo Mercury Racing 1350 engines. Its top speed is about 186 mph (300km/h) - which is absolutely amazing.

You do however need perfect conditions on the water in order to reach those high speeds, otherwise it's not only dangerous but also extremely pointless.

Default Lamborghini "Most Reactive Car" Most Likely Teases New Aventador SV

Lamborghini has started teasing what it calls “the most reactive car,” which we believe is the Aventador SV, the most extreme version of the supercar.

You probably remember that the Aventador SV was spotted undisguised in late January during the shooting of a promotional video, so it’s not as big a secret as Lamborghini tries to make it. The teaser video just released by the automaker doesn’t show much except a shot of the interior, which clearly belongs to the Aventador.

In Lambo’s world, SV stands for Super Veloce (Italian for super fast) and it’s a moniker reserved only for its finest V12-powered models.

The Aventador SV is expected to have around 50hp more than the standard model while also shedding weight thanks to an extensive carbon fiber diet. We’ll learn all the numbers on March 3, when the Aventador SV will officially debut at the Geneva Motor Show.

Default New Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4SV – First Photos

Click here to view more photos

Lamborghini has just blown off the covers from its new Aventador LP 750-4SV on the eve of the Geneva Motor Show.

Preliminary details include a more powerful version of the Aventador's V12 with an additional 50-horsepower for a total of 750PS or 740hp.

Lamborghini also revealed that the all-wheel drive SV has undergone a diet losing 50kg or about 220 pounds, thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber on the modified body and the interior.

Improvements were made to the car's aerodynamics as well, increasing downforce.

The new Aventador LP 750-4SV has a top speed of 350km/h or 218mph. We'll have more info on the Italian supercar later in the day.

Default Everything You Need To Know About The Aventador SV, Lambo’s Craziest Bull Yet [w/Vide

Click here to view more photos

Ok, Lamborghini has given us the full details on the craziest Aventador yet, the Super Veloce that is.

The Lamboghini Aventador LP750-4 Super Veloce is using the same recipe as its predecessors did which means more power with less weight. The 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine now packs 750PS (740hp) arriving at 8,400rpm and 690Nm (508lb ft) of torque arriving at 5.500rpm, that have to move around minus 50kg due to “extensive lightweight engineering solutions” which is fancy talk for replacing many parts with carbon-fibre ones.

The Aventador SV gets from still to 100km/h (0-62mph) in 2.8 seconds and will keep going until it hits “more than 350 km/h” (217mph). The power-to-weight ratio now reaches an eye-watering 2,03kg/hp. The rev-limiter is set 8,500rpm. The new exhaust lowers back pressure and allows the V12 to clear its mighty throat louder than ever.

“In the Superveloce Lamborghini's expertise in lightweight engineering is clearly evident. With technological features which combined with design, quality standards and craftsmanship, the Superveloce results in the most exclusive, pure and emotional production model in the history of our brand,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini.

Even the carbon fibre monocoque has a different serial number than the one in the regular Aventador, due to the lightweight aluminium frames that bolt on it and combined with the carbon door panels, bumpers, side sills, fixed air intakes and rear wing, show Lamborghini’s commitment in offering the most focused V12 car in its history.

The carbon theme continues on the inside as expected, with new buckets and door panels made from this magic stuff while carpets and other insulation materials are absent as is the infotainment center (who needs one with that V12 lurking behind). The instrument cluster is entirely new and bespoke for the Aventador SV. The TFT screen is dominated by a yellow color, with RPMs showed in light blue and a G-force indicator located in the lower part of it.

The exterior design of the Aventador SV has been optimized in order to ensure the best possible aerodynamic balance. The result is that the shape now is 150% more efficient and the downforce pushing the car to the ground has been increased by a staggering 170% over the standard Aventador.

The pushrod suspension now features magneto-rheological dampers, or adaptive if you prefer plain English, that not only is up to the task of managing the raging bull but now offers characteristics like counter brake-diving to keep the Aventador flat in all situations.

The electromechanical Dynamic Steering has been specially tuned to the latest SV as well. The lightweight forged rims measure 20 inches front and 21 inches at the back and are offered optionally with central locking mounts. A set of standard carbon ceramic brakes ensure that the stopping power will always be sufficient.

The starting price for the Aventador SV in Europe is set at €327,190 before taxes with sales starting in late spring 2015.

Default First Official Lamborghini Aventador SV Video is All About Execution

We've already learned everything we needed to know about the Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 Super Veloce. What else is there than to see it in action for the first time? Wish fulfilled.

Actually, besides obvious other wishes such as to own one or at least drive one, we'll also be waiting on reviews as well as (one can only hope) a few drag races. Maybe this thing is fast enough to get Dodge Challenger Hellcat owners to finally...shut up about it.

Even though this thing packs a 750 PS V12 engine, which can get it form 0 to 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds, the Aventador SV is also about execution. Apex cornering for an apex predator. This car is supposed to leave you behind in the bends and not just the straights - especially with a power-to-weight ratio of just 2.03kg/hp.

Watching the video, two things came to mind (Besides how unbelievably gorgeous the car is). First it dawned on us that while driving an Aventador SV, you should be able to finally say that yes, this is without a doubt the best looking Lamborghini in history.

And second, the narrator guy sounds a lot like Ra's Al Ghul from the TV series 'Gotham'. Which would have been enough to win us over on its own if it hadn't been also for the "Sherlock Holmes" vision theme, where the driver first pictured what he had to do and then executed it to perfection.

All in all, a pretty good way to start selling a €327,190 (pre-tax) car.

By the way, I did get to sit in a Lambo Aventador and Ferrari F12 Berlenitta, right next to each other.

I was claustrophobic to say the least in the Aventador. The F12, on the other hand was more like what I would drive (If I could)

Default Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce sprint test [video]

Runs to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds

German magazine Auto Bild had the chance to conduct a sprint test with a near-production Lamborghini Aventador Superveloce prototype.

Described by Lamborghini as being their most emotional production model ever made, the recently introduced Aventador SV has lost 50 kg and gained 50 HP compared to the "regular" LP 700-4. As a result, the supercar from Sant'Agata is now able to run the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in only 2.8 seconds, thus making it 0.1s quicker than before.

It's not only lighter and quicker than before, but also 150 percent more aerodynamic and can generate a downforce 170 percent higher than the Aventador also helped by the added rear wing. It gets unique 20-inch front & 21-inch rear alloys shod in Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires and stops efficiently thanks to standard carbon ceramic discs.

Lamborghini has already announced they will start selling the €327,190 Aventador Superveloce by the end of this spring.

Default Lamborghini Aventador SV arrives in US with $493,069 price tag

Standard model costs $400,995

Lamborghini has announced the US-spec Aventador Superveloce will carry a starting price of $493,069.

When Lamborghini unveiled the Aventador SV earlier this month in Geneva they only disclosed the €327,190 price tag applicable in Europe, but now we know the US variant will set you back $493,069, including the $3,700 gas guzzler tax as well as the $3,495 destination & delivery charges. The SV suffix commands a significant premium over the "regular" Aventador which in United States kicks off at $400,995.

The significant price difference brings an extra 50 HP, a 50 kg diet and a new body which is 150% more aerodynamic and generates an additional 170% of downforce. Compared to the standard Aventador LP 700-4, the Superveloce version is 0.1 seconds quicker in the sprint which now takes a mere 2.8 seconds before topping out at more than 217 mph (350 km/h).

Lamborghini will start shipping the Aventador LP 750-4 Superveloce towards the end of spring.
