Hate the Camresque grille but not bad looking overall. I can see people going for a car like this.

there are already undisguised spy pics of this azera, it kinda looks awkward and not as sleek as in the renderings.

Looks pretty good, would love to see it in person.
I would not underestimate Hyundai as they are doing well in the industry and know how to attract buyers.
This car probably fits into a bigger plan that we don't know about.

the upcoming kia cadenza k7 will be better, it's actually a true european design.

the azera is more or less american. head designer is from the states, too much goin on with not much attention to porportion.

That rear character line IMHO looks ridiculous. It looks totally out of place and it looks as if it was involved in an accident.

Totally agree with you on this.

I think that none of the major automakers should be underestimating each other.

Some automakers are unfortunately more guilty than others when it comes to underestimating the competition.

V6s are not always preferable to a turbo four......as you note, it depends on your driving preferences. All else equal, a N/A V6 will run smoother/quieter, be more suitable for long trips, sometimes get long on regular fuel, need fewer oil changes, land sometimes have a higher towing capacity than a T4. A T4, on the other hand, will usually require premuim fuel, need more oil changes (with expensive synthetic oil), run rougher/noisier, have some turbo-lag, and possibly shorten engine life, but often has more torque than its NA V6 cousins. A number of T4s give you a surprising kick-in-the-pants...with the VW/Audi 2.0T, the Acura RDX turbo-4, and the Subaru/Mitsubishi T4s being good examples.

It's interesting that Hyundai is keeping the Azera name. Since it hasn't sold well to date, it might have been a good opportunity to roll out a new name like Ford did with the slow selling Five Hundred (always liked that name) and the Taurus.

ya the current azera was and is a FLOP, they cannot give it away for free..like the kia borrego, they still have 2009's in the lot, 50 percent off msrp at 15k and still no takers. what a fine line between desire and dislike.

the new azera design looks much better, hopefully a hybrid full sized sedan priced at 25k and gets about 30 mpg mixed has my business for sure.

speaking of taurus, i think that's a competitor azera goes at. the sonata's more a competitor to the fusion.

the sonata is really one heck of a bargain!

taurus is priced in the mid to high 30k range and mpg is not very impressive.

the concept azera kinda reminds me a lot of the latest E class, only 65 percent cheaper.

Yes, the Taurus sits in this niche as I pointed out earlier with these other models. Funny how the Taurus ended up changing classes as it used to play the Fusion's role.

And yeah, the Sonata is a huge bargain especially at its $19,995 base. It's actually EPA classified as a full size (like the current Accord). The rest of that class are classified as mid-sizes.

All these companies compete at that level as well as right below and right above.

Why can't Hyundai?

some will kill me but ill just say this.... this vehicle look sbetter than the new Audi A6. Rather get this than an A6 that will cost twice as much.

yeah, if concept is true then it looks good

Front is not as cartoony and stretched-up as the sonata and the rear is pretty bold, unlike your camcord.
I like this better than the genesis and sonata.

Agreed. And yeah, it looks even better driving on the road. Thanks for the vid!

For the record, I'd even choose a Sonata over the A6.
