The C6 platform is designed by Audi. It's designed to incorporate Quattro AWD. All Audi's are this way and have been so for decades. All I'll say is drive an S4 or S6 and tell me it's "a VW". The C6 is NOT a derivative of any Volkswagen platform, it's designed in ingolstadt

and currently, lexus still sells rebadged camry's and highlanders.

Your constant Lexus flaming is old and childish at this point. This thread is fine without ridiculous jabs at Lexus from a Nissan fan that comes here to post in Nissan threads just to start crap.

A Fuga or Skyline to M37/G37 is a rebadge and shares platforms with the 370Z. A Camry to ES/RX is platform sharing, not a rebadge.

You already know this but insist on jabbing Lexus on a Lexus forum at every chance.

It won't continue to happen so KNOCK THE CRAP OFF.

they are highly modified derivatives, so incorrect. The lexus Hs and Gx "are" straight rebadges of Toyota products, though. Not shocking, Infiniti and Acura do it too, and the GX at least feels up to the task (a luscious interior ). but remember Infiniti and Acura don't have nearly as many dedicated platforms relative to their larger brethren than Lexus does.

I like the front end of both cars, but it's the rear end of both cars that is hideous..........neither for me

I actually think them letting their most expensive car be used as a loaner to be a good thing. I personally am impressed with a company that would let me use a better car as a loaner when I bring my cheaper car in for service
well, if you can't sell it, loan it............

it can work it favorably:
couple of years ago, a friend took her 3 series 'vert for service and dealer gave her a 7 series as a loaner
she loved it and traded the 3 in for the 7 series

I'm sure it doesn't happen all the time, but you never know

hmmm, this sure looks like a Lexus RX to me. oh wait, it's a toyota harrier.

i didn't realize that posting FACTS was considered "Lexus flaming" and "jabs".

Its not a fact the RX was designed as a RX and to be the first car based luxury SUV and rebadged Toyota Harrier in Japan due to no dealer network.

Here is what this thread is about.
