This new Subaru is debuting next Monday as a European influenced micro van. It looks really close to the Toyota Verso S which is offered in Europe, but also named the Toyota Ractis in Japan.

Are there AWD versions for the Toyota Verso/Ractis? Subaru will surely have AWD...

Not necessarily. Subaru still does FWD vehicles outside of the American market, and used to do them here until the mid-1990s, when the totally-AWD theme was chosen for this market as an image/sales theme. At the time, Subaru's sales here were low, and the company, at one point, actually considered leaving the American market. The AWD theme, though, proved to be a big marketing success here, and the company has prospered ever since.
