Slammed, different exhaust tips, a decent pair of rims, and a different rear bumper it might look good

From a styling standpoint, I worry about cars that require immediate cosmetic upgrades just to look good.

Exactly, takes more than full black vinyl treatment to fix that.

Its amazing to me to see brands put seemingly all their best efforts in their entry level cars (G37, CTS, TL, MKZ, 9-3) and be near clueless to so many of their other more expensive products.

I give Caddy kudos for bringing the concept pretty true to form, even down to the center exhaust. It clearly will look like NOTHING else on the road and I don't think its ugly.

I also think its odd...this car is only a couple inches shorter than the CTS sedan, so its big. The front end is the same CTS big SUV dynamic but like the Audi A5/S5, yeah its "in your face ROOOOAR" but I like coupes to be more well coupe ish and not SUV ish".

The rear has a very short deck, which I usually like but to me, it seems very very short here. The tailights are distinctive. It just seems C-class hatch short, 318 hatch short...

What really upsets the car here is what is upsetting so many other cars. Small, tiny windows and just giant slabs for sides. I'm looking at that first cut-line in the door thinking "It would look so sleek if that was the bottom, visually lowering the car".

Instead there is tremendous mass below that cut line. The bottom of the car to the bottom of the window is a lot of car.

That said its truly one of the few cars I've seen in pics that I'm saying to myself "I can't wait to see that in person".
I really am curious to see how it works. Something tells me this is one of those cars in person, will look HAWT. Personally, I find the CTS wagon to be one of the best looking vehicles sold period.

Surely with a drop, bigger wheels, well it might look quite sinister!

Sexy, but door handles anyone? I know it is silly, but I like functional easy to use door handles on cars.

Wish it was a little lower, like the Converj:

That's a great looking car.

I'm surprised at all the backlash in this thread.

I actually think this car looks pretty good and continues the steps forward that Caddy has been taking.

For a Caddy it looks pretty good. Is it a hatchback?

The CTS coupe is ugly but it is still better looking than the XLR.

They should have flared out the tailfins a little more, like the SRX. That way it can have a 1950's ambiance, back when Cadillac was a good brand.

Leaving some tailfins would be OK, but the rear end is too high, like the super-aero hybrids Prius and Insight. This takes the "rising beltline" idea too far.

Yes, no surprise the XLR was dumped.

+1 Any mention of this being a hatchback or not? I'm not not sure how I feel about the way the rear-end looks but we'll just have to wait and see I guess. I really do like the sedan though and the wagon is also very pleasing to look at.

I actually didn't mind the XLR all that much... Maybe I'm just weird.
