Supposedly very similar in size to the 1st gen X5.

I've ridden in the GLK. I liked it. The design is unique (design is subjective) and the inside is pleasing. It might not be as sporty as its rivals, but it certainly feels solid, safe, comfortable and premium.
The GLK's inside is pleasing?

I guess if you like cheap plastic, hard leather and no ergonomics. Hands down the worst Tier 1 vehicle that I have ever had the displeasure of driving. At least the first gen X3 handled well. There was absolutely nothing about the GLK that I enjoyed, from aesthetics, to interior, to nav, to handling, to steering, to braking.....it was just bad.

The new X3 is a huge step forward for BMW, and this should sell well...especially in light of the lower pricing. Imo, the first gen is just as bad as the GLK, but in typical BMW fashion it handles and steers well.

I have to agree that the inside of the GLK is cheap and obviously was made to cut costs, especially that navi hood part.
