2010 Woodward: Vanity plates that make you double-take
We aren't the biggest fans of most vanity plates. At the Woodward Dream Cruise, however, there are plenty of witty, snappy and mildly inappropriate plates to be seen, and we can't help but laugh (or at least chuckle quietly) at some of these creative tags. After all, it's one thing to cruise Woodward Avenue in a PT Cruiser with wood paneling and flame decals, but having a vanity plate that reads "HOTWOOD" really completes the package.
We found all sorts of interesting letter combinations at this year's cruise, which you can see for yourselves in the high-res gallery below.
That's gotta be either for a ham radio operator of someone puffing on a joint every week out of the year.

52 week high relates to stock price. In Silicon Valley/Bay Area (where over 1/3 of the venture capital funding in the entire US is directed). A lot of people here are motivated to work hard in many of these tech companies and sometimes the reward include a Porsche (or 2 or so).

You (partially) got me on that one. I can understand the 52-week "High" of driving something like a Porsche or BMW, but I wouldn't have tied it to stock prices. Of course, the high-tech boom (of which Silicon Valley, just like the high-tech regions near D.C. where I live) was part of that boom....and the resulting stock boom, before it went bust after 2000, enabled a lot of people to buy and own expensive cars.
