Several years ago a Porsche commercial was posted here
It was an epic commercial. Very well done, and received a lot of praise. I think video of the factory was involved? If anyone knows which Porsche commercial was posted post it again please.
What separated this one from the others was that it was VERY well received as the best commercial they have done. Trying to remember which one it was.
Good music as well, forgot that too though, LOL!
It was a "classy" commercial. Not a funny one.

I remember the one with the engines revving, but IMO wasn't as impressive as it could have been because it wasn't all non-turbo flat sixes which have the most unique sound (GT3 around top of list).
Need more hints for sure.

If we're talking about the same thing, the revving one is lame because it was actually a Cayenne commercial. You know, because since the Cayenne sounds remotely like other Porsches, it isn't the lamest thing Porsche has ever come up with. 
But that commercial may of course be what you're looking for.
I remember the GT3 RS one because it had music specially composed for it.
