Default Ford Taurus Coupe

Ok I think this every time I see one, but is it just me or does the Honda Accord Coupe look like a 2 door Ford Taurus?

To me it looks like an Accord coupe, I never thought otherwise.

All I know is the Accord coupe is the only good looking product Honda/Acura makes. Pretty sad your homely brand makes better looking vehicles than your luxury arm.

I've never thought Taurus when I've seen it.

I have to say I like how both look.

Large to mid-sized FWD cars will often look similar because of the drivetrain configuration (long front overhangs, cab-forward cockpits).

It's a stretch to compare the two.

Beyond the mid-line crease, there is little similarity. Door handles are placed differently from the crease, the taillights converge at different heights in relation to the crease, the lower body "lips" point in different directions, rear window design underneath the C-pillar are off, and Ford is doing a lot with black body kits to make their cars look "slimmer" and lighter.

Oh well...

bleh I know that lol.

I think the headlight design, the taillight design, and the creases and character lines on both are similar. The Accord Coupe doesn't look like the chunky fugly Accord sedan to me.

In person it's easier to see the similarities between the Accord coupe and Taurus...

Well coupe variants of cars always look slightly different than sedan variants.

I think if Ford were to make a Taurus Coupe it would look a LOT like the Accord Coupe...

I've seen both cars in person, don't think they are very similar. I've always liked the Accord coupe more than the Accord sedan, but that doesn't mean I find either car to be very similar to Taurus. It's a stretch.

But what-if Ford made a Taurus coupe, yes it would look similar if they adopted the same roofline.

It's subjective, not many really care.

If there are similarities, the Taurus looks like the Accord, not the other way around. Current gen Accord coupe has been around longer than the new Taurus.
