Looks ready for another 100k of reliable service at a nicely bumped power output! Hope you can shoot video of the initial firing. It's always fun to see the smoke clouds as the assembly lube burns off...
I'm a big fan of Red Line's assembly lube. It dissolves into oil like nothing I've ever seen. Way better than the lithium grease based stuff.
Thanks guys, I used CMW assembly lube that was supplied with the R&R rods & MPZ cam lube that is the stickyest lube I have ever seen. I do like Redline though I use their grease for my CV joints.
Fired up the engine yesterday, everything went fine, shot a short video but can't upload it because it is missing a "security token" of well it's not very exciting no smoke & not much noise either.
Thanks guys, break-in is going well, although it's really tough dealing with jerks on the freeway with a 3,000 rpm redline. Time for another oil change & new hardware:
Yeah me too, with the new timing chains(5), chain tensioners(3) and balanced engine it is so smooth & quiet (3,000rpm redline) it reminds me of my wife's Prelude SI.

I know exactly what you mean, that was one of the sweetest/smoothest 4-bangers ever made (I used to have one).
But the sound of the Porsche flat six is intoxicating.
