Default What is your favorite BMW forum ?

Ok guys,
I have a 97 SC400 and we are keeping it.
But, I am trying to do some homework on a 328 BMW and am possibly going to purchase a Bimmer , so I am looking for a "quality forum" that is as high quality as this.
I love the Clublexus forum and am looking for info that is as meaningful as I find in this one.
Plz dont flame me, ...I am just checking out the "other side"
Thanks

BMW-FormerOwners.com Wicked-SC,you're right - I can't help myself - The scars are too recent.

Seriously, that 325 I had was the worst experience of my life. People think I'm kidding when I tell them it broke down 50 times year. "Oh you must be exaggerating." I'm not. I have a neighbor with at 535, I call it the "The Valdez". It is Superfund toxic waste site; leaks out of everything that holds fluids. I've never met a BMW owner with a vehicle that is over 5 years old that isn't pouring hundred dollar bills into the thing to keep it on the road. In the latest Consumer Reports, the 3 series was "above average" in reliability but as a friend pointed out, that is because other European cars exist or it would be the worst car on the road.

I tried to keep it humorous and they are undoubtedly a blast to drive. If you can do ALOT of work yourself and go into it with your eyes open, have at it!

If the 328 is an E46 chassis, www.e46fanatics.com is the best forum.

I work for BMW. Don't take Anthony seriously. If it's an E46, you don't have a lot to worry about. I've had several, and aside from preventative maintanence and cooling system upkeep, they are very reliable.

Default Thanks for your reply,..... its in the SC section because...

1) I have an SC400 and am also looking for a good performing and handling car , the SC guys probably know better than an LS group
2) SC folks are pretty performance oriented and I am looking for some info from guys that have probably checked out "the other side"

3) This is not a "dissension" thread, like I said, I am keeping the SC400.
I've had 5 Supras and 2 Lexus in the last 27 yrs and am sold on the lineage.
Thanks Guys

I also have the E46 and the only thing that I have done to it was AFE intake, Borla exhaust, Turner Motorsport Shark Injector, and their pullies, for performance upgrades.
The only other things for maintenance is plugs, battery, water pump, thermostat, hoses, overflow tank, and a fuel filter.
For things that have broke or leaked is one window regulator, and a valve cover gasket. It currently has 140K and still drives great. I would own another one. The bad thing is that it uses some oil, but this is normal for the E46, which I have read several forums and posts about. Its just normal.

My fave BMW forum is bimmerpost.com, I frequent that forum often. You should also check out bimmerfest.com.

^^^^1, you're right about BMW's, include any five year old SAAB as a perpetual wallet flush

The best BMW forums on the net from my experience as an owner would be bimmerpost & bimmerfest. Bimmerforums is as dull as Krasdale vanilla icecream & is not that informative.

MFest

We have non-M cars on there too. It had a sort of CL feel but with far fewer people.
